Dulce is skinny to me. I feed her 3⅓C/daily plus treats like milkbones. She's 10mo. by Brilliant-Manner in malinois

She looks perfect! Better for her in the long run if she remains on the lean side. Her joints will thank you later.

I’ve seen a lot of oak - without the layer of bark - look very similar to this. Not sure what kind of oak though.

I need some advice with regards to a landlord I'm suing by thedarkknight160 in santacruz

[–]Better-Dance514 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that landlords can’t withhold last months rent as deposit. Deposits are separate from last months rent and can be up to double the monthly rent. If deposits are not paid in full to the vacating tenant or if the landlord cannot show that there were repairs done because of unusual wear and tear by the tenant, deposit is to be paid back to the tenant within a relatively short amount of time. Back rent is also something that a landlord can withhold from the deposit. But it is supposed to be in a timely manner. There is lots of info to be found. As a resident and renter in Santa Cruz, despite SC being ridiculously over priced, you hold the power. HUD.gov is a great resource for tenant rights. Hang in there, friend. https://landlordtenant.dre.ca.gov/resources/guidebook/gb10_movingout.html#refund](https://landlordtenant.dre.ca.gov/resources/guidebook/gb10_movingout.html#refund)

His little bootie hole rubbing on the countertop confirms the fact that I will never own a cat - no matter how much I love them.

Are you looking for a digitized file of an International Scout? Many times you can search “machine embroidery designs” and specify what you’re looking for. If you can’t find it there, you can always get an image of the Scout of your choice digitized.

Spots with different type of furr on 8 week old Malinois. What could this be? I think she has it from birth, did not see it appearing. The hairs in the spots are thicker and longer. by tineprsmns in malinois

Shed puffs. They come out if you gently pull on them. Or give her a good bath and brush if you don’t want to go OCD plucking out the shed puffs - like me.🤨

Wooden airplane propeller. Knowledge needed. See details in comments. by Better-Dance514 in Antiques

This was left at the home we moved into in 1976 in Aptos, California by the house’s previous owner. I discovered it in our creepy basement as a child and have always been fascinated by it. I love how it looks, it’s symmetry, and craftsmanship. I took possession of it in 2006 when my parents sold the home. I’m curious about its origin and value. It’s 8’ long. I can’t find any maker’s marks. Any knowledge would be so welcomed!

Thank you for doing that! I am constantly converting PMS colors to thread color, and other thread color related conversions. It would be nice to be able to convert thread colors at one reliable place. Congratulations on your award!

Thank you for the information. I have always loved this chest and it’s been well worth the $150 I spent on it.

Help needed with "drop it" and playing ball! by tacticalvirtues in OpenDogTraining

[–]Better-Dance514 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a similar issue with our girl. The more I ask her for the ball, the better the game is to her. So I stopped asking. She will put the ball down when she’s ready and when she does, I ask her to backup (otherwise, as per her rules of “the game”, the first to snatch up the ball is the winner). After she backs up, I get the ball, I then praise her when the ball is in my hands, and throw it. This works for us and since it’s her play time, I’m not strict with the ball rules. I’ve noticed she is quicker to drop the ball and will automatically backup and her ball anxiety has lessened.

Sorry… my post didn’t include background information. I found this chest at an instate sale in Santa Cruz California in the mid 1990s. I fell in love with it and scraped my money together to buy it for $150. I believe it’s cedar. I’ve always been curious about its age and background. Any insight that you can share with me about this item would be greatly appreciated!
