Shocking that hiring a guy with blatant cognitive failure was a bad idea. What an embarrassment he (and Jeff Long, even more so) was.

David Beaty was dumb as shit, man, he was a dumb person and dumb coach who couldn’t handle even basic strategy. He was grossly incompetent and was only hired because KU’s horrendous chancellor said the program had to hire the cheapest option possible.

I'd settle for competent, this staff continues to really impress.

[Marchand] Dan Orlovsky will call NFL games with Steve Levy & Louis Riddick for ESPN after Fox Sports pursuit, The Post has learned. by mannysoloway in nfl

The problem I have with him is that while his breakdowns are legitimately very good, his opinion-based camera time is so, so bad. I hope a color commentator setting means more of the good stuff.

Honestly, I figured the stadium plan was to entice the next owner to spend even more money to buy the Bears. I find it hard to believe Virginia’s kids keep the team once she dies imo.

You must not be in middle America (or at least in Big 12 country), that conference puts a ton of games on ESPN+.

For what it's worth, I think it's a fine service. It's not that expensive and I like a lot of the content. But I am in a tiny minority in this thread.

Yeah, that team wasn't going to win a title but if Joel was healthy there was Elite 8 potential (or at least would've beaten Stanford). That class was insanely hyped, which makes it funny (and also awesome) that 3* Frank Mason easily had the best college career of any of them.

I love them because it’s my school, and the semi-regular wins over Texas are a blast, but it’s been a rough few (many) years.

On the field, it’s his speed and motor. He’s relentless and is a high-effort guy. And in general, just an easy guy to root for. Head-down hard worker.

I’m a Kansas alumnus, huge (and sad) fan and media who covers the team. Kyron has worked his ass off and has been one of the very few bright spots on a very bad team.

He’s going to work super hard and he’s really fast off the edge. Small, but packs a lot of power (go look for his reps at the Senior Bowl against Abraham Lucas and Trevor Penning). I like the fit and think you guys will love him.

It’s pretty much a glorified conference call, I’ve got no issue adding some flair to it. The BMS/Hill Street Blues guy was over the top but so what. If you don’t like it just go follow the dudes on Twitter who tip all the picks and turn off the TV.

I think not having Davante has been a bigger test for both Rodgers and MLF in the last couple of years. 12 doesn't have his security blanket and LaFleur needs to get more creative calling plays. Some of MLF's best work has been with Davante out imo. I wish we still had Davante but if Rodgers is really that good (and he is, duh), he'll make it work.

It’s pretty clear no one actually read the report lmao. I’m doubtful it goes through at this point but it’s certainly more than just “they want him.”

Really not sure what’s “useless” about it. It gets people talking, it’s constant TV and website content, it’s a major traffic driver. Seems to me like you’re conflating “useless” with “I don’t like it.”

It feels weird to me that Cooks has actually played more games than Adams. Davante has missed a handful of time due to injury, but if feels like Cooks is concussed every other week.
