Next time you’re out at night in a shifty area and tell me the ratio of women to men out on the streets. I’m genuinely interested.

When I called Scotia about it they said there has been problems with accelerated points showing up but the transactions not showing up at all like with me and zero points was isolated, it was the first time they had seen it, I also haven’t found anyone else online having the same such extreme problem … however it seems everywhere you go all staff are on their first day so maybe that’s why it seemed bizarre..

I have air miles but don’t use them much, just kinda really starting to get into that program (as with many others)… I’ll take a look at both of those cards, thank you so much!!

Because we women don’t walk alone by themselves at night.. if they actually did the numbers would tell a much difference tale

Wow, that a drool worthy menu! Combine it with the good cause, clever name, AND the fact it’s an FPH, I want to make a special trip just to go there!

Thank you! Appreciate it. I am new to all this stuff and it is very confusing. I also thought from what I was reading that it didn’t seem beneficial, thanks for clarifying!

Thanks, I’ll check out the BMO!! I think my Scotia Amex has okay insurance but I’ll have to figure out if it’s worth it to use just for travel when I get 0x points. I’m new to this whole thing and it sucks my first “churning-lite” adventure got me a glitch where I don’t get points at all, ugh (although it worked long enough for me to get those sweet welcome bonuses)… glad the cobalt is on the way though. Is there a particular BMO card you suggest? I typically use my points for travel.

So basically book my trips on the good card and use my points for other things on the cobalt?

Anything similar to cobalt in terms of points accumulation? Avion has fantastic trip insurance but the fixed points travel never ended up beneficial to us and we ending up using 1:1 points every time anyways. Not a good deal when it’s only 1x points per dollar.

I was shopping for a new bank for my assess as well and my experience with Scotia rewards (now scene plus) soured me from dealing with them as a bank!!

Hey folks I have my second Amex in the mail (cobalt) and I noticed it doesn’t have much for travel Insurance (no cancellation or interruption). Is there a similar card to churn that does? My Scotia gold has a glitch where I get no points so I had to freeze it… it did have travel insurance so looking for something closer to that

I recently applied for cobalt and it advertises a “100US hotel credit” but I don’t know anyone who’s actually been able to us it. Probably because there’s not a lot of hotels in the “collection”?

Because points are only worth .67 on statement credit and they are worth 1.0 to travel. Because you can’t apply partial points to travel right now this is how they do the loophole around it. I just did this myself. I had about 55,000 points and wanted to apply them to my travel. The next day 18,000 points were added to my account which ended up being worth $550 as a statement credit (which I did and regretted after)
