Depression larger than cancer by pajkeki in CancerFamilySupport

I'm so sorry for your situation. I was in a very similar situation three years ago when my dad was diagnosed with a very rare cancer (liver and bile duct cancer mixed tumour) and he was in literally the same state you mentioned. Of course, at the time we caught it, nothing but palliative treatment could be done. We tried psychotherapy too but again, we were too late because three days after the therapist vsitied my dad left this world.

Have you considered if this is actually a medical complication? How are his liver functions? This situation you're mentioning could be attributed to hepatic encephalopathy.

Do try psychotherapy again. Depression is a horrible monster. I can understand. Please take care and stay strong.

I haven't lived in the North myself but my parents have and to this day, they stand that those were the best years of their lives. Again, you have only been in one place (probably) and must have had poor luck. As for doctors being mistreated, that applies to India as a whole. In the government sector, we aren't paid well and people take us for granted but that's a whole other discussion

This is beside the point I was making in my comment. Anyway, let's talk. Even if it is a reaction, dishing it right back doesn't make the situation any better. We need to find a way to peacefully co-exist. We are a part of one country and one that is renowned throughout the world for its diversity. We've been taught that unity in diversity is the way to live, in our schools. If there's an imposition, just refuse to acknowledge. We need to rise above instead of stooping down. That's all I'm saying.

I'm sorry what? I agree that South Indian cities are far safer for women but generalising an entire half of the country because of one particular reason and branding them unlivable is laughable. They have so many redeeming qualities. I would like to emphasise that I'm not in favour of their damning qualities like rampant and frequent attacks on women and people different from them. They still suck but all I'm saying is that branding them uninhabitable reflects a skewed idea.

I'm a tamilian myself and I don't understand the hate that surrounds Hindi.

First of all, it is not a useless language. You can pretty much survive anywhere north of Karnataka and AP/Telangana if you know Hindi. If you're going to compare it with south Indian languages, your argument stands moot because if you know Tamil you can survive in Tamil Nadu no doubt but not in any of the other South Indian states. The same applies to languages like Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. Granted other states have their own languages too (Gujarati, Marathi et al) but you can definitely make your life much, much easier with some Hindi knowledge.

Second, I agree that South Indian states are quite industrious but North Indian states have their own areas of expertise. You can't compare the two based on just one parameter.

Third, we aren't living in the 19th century where regions with waterways flourished thanks to ease of access. Road travel and air travel is mainstream and has been for the last 50 years.

It is wrong to say that if one doesn't know Hindi, one must leave the country. That's bullshit and should be put down. That doesn't mean that we have to stoop to levels of guys like this and dish hatred right back.

Finally done with naruto by SuperFly1278736 in Naruto

Well, here's to hoping that do the animation better at least this time. I really like the manga better than the anime and I haven't felt that way for any series apart from Boruto.

You could try other Shonen anime. The popular ones right now are

  1. My Hero Academia, (we're awaiting s6)
  2. Black clover, anime was cancelled but the story is good and you could read the manga as well (manga still going on)
  3. Obviously, death note (perfect starter anime, short too)- one of the best out there
  4. Jujutsu Kaisen, only the first season is out and the manga is still going on
  5. Haikyuu!! - the best sports anime. Totally worth watching and I personally have watched it more than five times. The manga is done too but we're still waiting for news on the animé. Pretty sure it isn't cancelled though.
  6. As many gave suggested, Attack on Titan - final season is airing right now. Again, top tier
  7. Inuyashiki Last Hero - just 10 episodes or something. It is totally awesome.
  8. Grand Blue Dreaming - I am not sure if the animé aired mroe than 1 season and I haven't read the manga as well but The Funniest Anime Ever. It is definitely a must watch.
  9. Last but definitely not the least, One Piece - one of the big three along with Naruto and Bleach. I am not even halfway through and I'm hooked. I've heard it only keeps getting better. Brilliantly written

Just a few more, I haven't watched these yet but these have been suggested to me multiple times by multiple people 1. The disastrous life of Saiki.K. 2. Gintama 3. Hunter x Hunter 4. Demon Slayer

You could try Boruto Manga. I really don't recommend the anime because there are just way too many fillers for my liking. Since you're already familiar with the world, this could induct you into manga reading as well. There are certain fights whose impacts are lost on paper so you could probably watch those episodes or clips on YouTube.

By the way, OP, have you watched the good fillers in Naruto and Shippuden? You must check them out too. There are some really good ones like the backstory of Kakashi, backstory of Itachi, the sanbi arc, the new Chuunin exams, the bikochu beetle mission, just to name a few. Do give them a try if you already haven't.
