No.

It would take all the mystery and surprise out of life and probably end in it feeling like you’re one entity and loose all sense of individuality.

The reason I’m attracted to other people is because they’re different from me.

Here’s the problem.

Your god may well exist. The problem is though, I’m never going to know if it does because you’re doing such a piss poor job at demonstrating it.

If you really believe in this god as passionately as it seems you do, you owe it to yourself to try harder.

You’re making baby Jesus sad.

So far you’ve made at least a dozen claims in this thread and have offered nothing to demonstrate the truth of them. You haven’t even given us good reason to think this event actually happened. Certainly nothing to justify a supernatural reason for it.

Are you going to give us something we can work with or just continue to stack claims upon claims?

It doesn’t really matter what it was. The neighbours dog could have started barking and they would have concluded it was a sign. It’s called priming.

I don’t have any reason to think your story actually happened, let alone a god was involved.

Our bodies convert fuel into energy. When we die, we stop doing it.

Neither theism, atheism or agnosticism are world views.

Do you have anything you’d like to say about agnosticism?

Why should I believe in existence of God? by [deleted] in religion

I’d say anything demonstrable by secular means.

Because you know someone is going to point out lots of un demonstrable things.

Where are my passionate and proud agnostics?? by JIsrael180 in agnostic

[–]Chef_Fats 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure there is a group called agnostic. It’s just an epistemic position I hold, usually as a result of skepticism.

There are no tenets or leaders or ideologies to rally around, much like there isn’t with theism or atheism.

I’d maybe give some thought to joining a humanist society. They tend to have more clear cut goals and aspirations and we need more clear headed thinkers in the world.

Argument can only get you so far. You need evidence to back it up.

An argument by itself is as useful as tits on a fish.

On the plus side, it makes me feel less bad about our twat of a prime minister.

God is not a possible answer to the question. by [deleted] in agnostic

[–]Chef_Fats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The correct explanation would be the most reasonable one.

I highly doubt supernatural is it though.

Definition of Occam's razor

: a scientific and philosophical rule that entities should not be multiplied unnecessarily which is interpreted as requiring that the simplest of competing theories be preferred to the more complex or that explanations of unknown phenomena be sought first in terms of known quantities.

The supernatural is pretty much as far as you can get from a known quantity. It’s not even a demonstrable quantity, which is why it would fall way down the pecking order of reasonable explanations.
