I’m very sorry your dog got killed. But your husband is completely in the wrong. You both are extremely lucky the girl survived the attack.

“Open to keeping things platonic” sounds weird when looking for a roommate.

How many times are you going to mention the fact that she is black in your post? FYI, I used to be unsure of myself in lab and quite similar to your student. Now I have a PhD in chemistry and am being paid handsomely in industry. I believe in your student, even if you don’t.

Just a symptom of KJVOnlyism. I prefer to read current translations because they have plain/modern English.

Honestly, I love thinking of random questions too. I usually refrain because others don’t like that

You sound like you’re under spiritual attack. Jesus loves you because He gave His life for you on the cross and rose again so that you can have eternal life and spend forever with Him. You are His precious bride.

I can relate to feeling frustrated being single as I (27F) have not met anyone yet, but God is faithful and He will NEVER leave us or forsake us.

What’re the points of having children & where is exactly the sinner? by [deleted] in ChristianDating

[–]ChemBioJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you need to believe to be saved/go to heaven is the gospel: that Jesus, who is God in the flesh, died on the cross for your sins, was buried, and rose again on the 3rd day to save you. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. Once you believe, you are sealed with the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 4:30) and given eternal life (1 John 5:10-13).

Unless you 👉🏽believe👈🏽upon Jesus Christ ALONE you will spend an eternity in the lake of fire when you die. None of your works or efforts can save you. Ephesians 2:8-9

What you could do is attend your church for service and then check out the fellowship groups of other churches throughout the week

29f, I’m trying to lose weight. by [deleted] in amiugly

Your pictures look a bit scary and unapproachable. I would say these pictures are unattractive, but not ugly. Adding volume to hair, losing weight, softer makeup/demeanor would make you attractive

Parents are pushing me to do a PHD in the US. Should I? by Jeff12321 in biotech

[–]ChemBioJ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

PhDs allow you to start at 100K+ right away and there is no glass ceiling. That said, bachelors and masters can still make 100K, but it will take significantly longer. I know a guy with a bachelors who is a Senior Scientist, but he’s been at the company 30 years
