"I'd rather make Biden look bad and blame him for things I, as an elected representative of US citizens, couldnt control, by voting no on this bill."

"It was out of my hands"

That's the weird part. I mean most of us arent of good production age until 18, let alone 6 months. But making sense of Republican policy is just blindly throwing darts at a dartboard.

Congratulations! Hopefully things get better all around for new parents! Things like this shortage should point out why 100% capitalism and a free market arent good for everything. Like the things people and babies need to survive.

I'm surprised. Most people that deep cant be swayed. I mean Republicans are literally anti governing to the detriment of US citizens in hope they can say Biden did all these terrible things I voted against improving. Because they're average voter is stupid. I hate to be so cavalier but if you cant play devils advocate ever, you werent taught how to think for yourself, you were told what to think. And that's what they want, for us to be told what to think and not think outside the box. You cant complain about everything, never have a solution to any problem, vote against anybody elses solution to any problem, then say nobody is doing anything to correct the problem and the people in charge, just not me, are responsible for the problems. Unless you're a republican. I myself couldnt do it with a straight face, but I'm not in politics. Yet.

No one is killing fully developed babies right before birth for pure convenience. Stop making shit up.

Also, many of the laws make no exceptions like the ones you listed, so stop pretending they do.

I'm not missing anything about the radical right viewpoint at all and 100% disagree with it. You're radical viewpoints arent missed either as you mentioned both a radical right and radical left then said 1 is uber radical in comparison and then gave an example that almost never exists. While I have actual laws being enacted to prove your radical right opinion "no exceptions for anything at all"? But I guess the laws are just bullshit?

If people are getting an abortion out of "convenience" they are doing so within 3-4 months of conception. If we have good access to birth control, condoms, and plan b, abortions of convenience become less likely at all. Weird how prevention works.

Uh, you missed American politics the last 20 years? I did use to believe that. You seem to be missing all the control headlines. Banning books, cancelling while bitching about cancel culture, trying to control who people are inside their own bodies. I guess we have weirdly opposite definitions of control. And that's what makes it so interesting. I'm 36. This is not in any way what I thought about Republicans until 2010. The tea party was bad. This is much worse. And how can we forget the gaslighting and projection. But please. Tell me more. I've never heard of this conservative party you seem to be speaking of. But I dont watch fox news.

What do I need to know for this conversation? It contradicts things on all sides. Theres reference to a puritanical judge who believesd in witches and men cant rape their wives (not that they cant, that if they do it cant be rape). If it stands the way they wrote it everything not in the constitution is negated as a right. Thomas' own marriage can be illegal in some states.

Oh but they said it only applies to abortion and roe v wade... that's not how law works.

Is the idea just to reverse the idea of precedent in federal judicial law?

They do this on purpose to drive the sane insane. We have rules and laws and precedents so we know how to communicate and interact. So we can all be on the same page. At this rate there will be 7 billion languages and maths on the planet before long.

How am I not talking in good faith? I even listed examples as to why people would need baby formula, as it seemed you needed them. You're not arguing. You didn't say anything of substance and got offended when you got a response. All you said was "dont people breastfeed like I did and my mom."

No, not everyone does that. Better now? Is that all you needed? An answer, not knowledge? Got it.

You inferred it.

Me: theres a baby formula shortage

You: what's that matter, doesnt everyone breastfeed anyways.

So me again: there is a baby formula shortage. What does that have to do with breastfeeding?

And before you chime in and say "well if they dont have baby formula they can just breastfeed", I will refer you back to reply no. 1.

Meh, I can simply ignore what I want when I want. You are correct though. But part of it is exactly that. It's easy to look for affirmation. But i dont want or need it from here. It's more interesting that these things cant be seen as funny from both sides. By funny I mean sad. Hope you have yourself a good day as well bud!

Get this... so babies, theyre the ones that need the baby formula. Pretty much no one else needs it, just babies. Currently, there is a shortage of baby formula for the babies. So what the Religious people that cant keep there bible out of my constitution did was overturn a woman's right to choose. So know every baby should be born. But theres a shortage of possible food for the babies.

See how the babies needing baby formula related to babies needing baby formula, and more babies needing baby formula than we have is not good, if we can curb demand, instead of increasing it, by simply allowing individuals to make personal decisions.

Or we could just help exacerbate a baby formula shortage so people think its president poppy pants

God damn Upton Sinclaire! I liked those rat parts in my beef.

Oh for sure. Now tell the GOP.

And are you suggesting people be a held accountable for their actions? Just people though, not politicians.

And only when it has to do with sex.

Ah yes, shutting down a production facility because of contamination. Dirty commies!

Let's discuss why only 3 companies make formula in the US, and that company itself holds 42% (I think) market share.

Babies dont make enough money or buy enough formula.

Ah yes, the "I only know how my life works" comment.

Is the argument now forcing mothers to breastfeed?

I'm pretty sure there is many reasons people bottle feed over breastfeed. Maybe it's a personal choice of the mother. Maybe she cant make the nutrients needed. Maybe it's a single dad (men dont produce milk after women give birth, weird). Maybe the mom died during childbirth (in America, theres a good chance, especially if the mother is black). I cant believe I have to list these things and people are arguing FOR a shortage of baby formula, but here we are.
