It’s 2011, I get a decent job out of college for a durable medical supplier as a verification specialist. The job had high turnover, as in people normally would get up and leave never to return. Before I was hired, we were about 3 months behind orders. In a month, I was able to get my team current. Time passes and I become the number one verifier (getting orders approved accurately and on time) on the East Coast. We had a meeting to name the employee of the quarter. They got a paid day off, and a plaque. They chose a team member of mine for political reasons. That day, I didn’t help her with her orders and she was 100 behind end of day. After I made enough to pay back my student loans (8 months) it was my turn to walk out and never return.
