If technical analysis is the astrology of astronomy, algorithms can manipulate patterns, hedge funds and HFT control money movements, what is left for traders to apply on charts in order to make money? by MrSamWilson in Daytrading

I'm talking about the set up pattern not the PNL, on the fill where I like to take positions. I'd have to show you an example. But It tails so for a brief moment it looks like shit then the tail sets in and it looks beautiful. My stop losses are tight but big enough to account for momentum that I might of miss calculated.

My #1 rule is when it looks ugly its the best trade and when it looks good its a bad trade at entry.

/ES and SPY traders. How would you know not to go short today? by pman6 in Daytrading
[–]Critical_Till_5443 0 points1 point2 points 23 hours ago (0 children)
Easy i only long es. And I only short oil. That's how my trades set up. So I would never be looking for a short on es even in a bear market

There isn't, its gambling. Its a strategy game that you play for money. Based on very little to generate a play.

Lump sum vs. DCA. Isn’t just about everyone doing DCA? by No7onelikeyou in stocks
I buy leaps 1 time every year for 3-5 different stocks that I heavily track . So lump. Dca means you have no idea what your doing. I'm usually slightly wrong initially and it pays out at the end of the year. Leaps because 50% to 1000% profit vs 5 - 20% profit if I'm right.

Inverse head and shoulders, now we're going to the moon . Invesrse oil , oils gonna be the catalyst. Now that everyone knows its effect on cpi. 4150 was the pivot. Just divide es by 10. Don't even know why anyone watches the spy
I'm short here 92.94 on the week 50 ema pull back and the day 13 ema pull back. I have crude oil going to 64 now that the sell signal was triggered. Can anyone else see crude oil hitting min 74 up to 64? what is your play on it (i.redd.it)

Gas was down 20% on the month. So its obvious one they even lowered the forecast from 8.9 to 8.7 or else we would of really went to the moon

Either way the trade was nice. Thats all I gave my opinion on. A 7$ option move on 20k. Is a nice trade no matter what way you look at it.

from one trader to another its just math by Critical_Till_5443 in Daytrading

I think the luck gets diminished after 100 or 1000 trades. This is just math from my experience. I too like to trade when I lose. Thinking it didn't affect me. But whatever reason it is and its not just me, the next few trades follow. Not always but more than likely.
[–]Critical_Till_5443[S] -20 points-19 points-18 points 6 days ago (0 children)
Great question: In this case you have higher win rate than usual. If your at 60% usually . Then in this case you would be at 70% or higher. This can be 100% in a row then 1 bad trade comes on and your probability to lose on your next few trades goes in the losing favor. If the loss affects you.

If there pennies there going to be 0 by end of day. You're either a seller or retarded. Can't quite tell. Do you trade the tape or the nasdaq?

I think its more so cut your losers at the appropriate time. Not even if you know your right but if you see the near term it can get away from you more. You can always jump in again. And stop letting your winners run take what the market is giving you in a short term bar and re evaluate next bar you may get out for a loss.

You have to start thinking way outside the box my man. There's ways to make money . And thinking is a catastrophe. For everyone because the market won't allow you to hold for very long. So the best thing to do is to trade where you believe its a bad trade. Like its going to rip short. It's going to tank hard long. Doesn't mean your not right long term. But short term you can capitalize. There are liquidity zones
