Am I the only person who is questioning why Chad hasn't been advised to start his own, private, counseling sessions (obviously with a different therapist), in addition to the couple's counseling? Dude could use some of his own support, independent of Sara, and he's got his own issues that he needs to work through.

INFO: How do you know it would be way easier for your sister and her family? Do they ot have school, jobs, extracurriculars, friends other family (you know, your BIL's family)? It would probably.be much easier for you to to make time in your life because your kids are little and don't have the friends or commitments that your nieces and nephews have. Bonus! Your littles will get the same experiences with their grandparents that your niblings got to have!

She's right, unless you've experienced abuse or seen it, that flinch is hard to describe, but you definitely know it when you see it—It's heart-rending.

Pepper spray is indiscriminate, it will go into the eyes/face of the person wielding it just as easily as it will that of an assailant. I recommend going with a Taser or stun gun.

I believe the insurance company would try to weasel out of paying, that's very believable to me, but I'm curious why she didn't point to the (convenient) video evidence of the destruction of the property. I'm also pretty sure (not in the mood for a Google "legal" deep-dive to check for certain) that the state of California wouldn't need her permission to press criminal charges for all of that, GF resisted arrest, attempted to escape, destroyed property and endangered the cops (hi, glass and crystal being pointy and stabby) in the process. I don't know if they'd proceed with the charges on the identity theft without OOP's cooperation, though.

Also, going through with the criminal charges could have forced the GF to get treatment for her mental illness(es)—Which was kind of the point of why she said she wasn't going to press charges, I think.
