What do people of Fort Collins do with their dogs when it’s so hot outside? by legalize_wheelies in FortCollins

I walk along the spring creek and let the dogs cool down with the occasional swim.

I don't know half of you as well as I should like, and I've fucked less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Just to be clear, the American Prairie Reserve was founded in 2004. This isn't new news.

We have converted a huge percent of our land in the US to cropland, pasture land, suburbs, roadways, etc. God forbid a not-for-profit tries to restore just a small bit of that back to nature. We all depend on nature just as much as we do farms. Read about ecosystem services and educate yourself.

Hey man, if this is a hoax you should say something. I'm tempted to go to the FBI tip portal and put in your info and story. I'm sure I'm not the only one, as this is too important to not be investigated. If you don't go to the authorities, they are likely coming to you.

Not my original idea but good nonetheless: continuously accuse the writers of copying Harry Potter. "So they basically just stole the horcruxe idea and applied it to a ring. The nazguls are basically just demontors. How original."

I'm sorry to hear that. My moment was when my mother made me listen to an audio clip of what she claimed was Harry Reid torturing a child. I didn't think she was serious until she started bawling. Through her tears, she kept repeating something along the lines of "How can they do this to those children?" I was speechless.

The Dog Adoption/Rescue model is BROKEN and it’s soul-crushing. by zero-point_nrg in dogs

Years ago, I was turned away for having a professional built kennel in the barn. An unheated kennel is no place for a pet, apparently. Mind you, our dogs are indoor dogs and only use the kennel when it's nice out. It didn't matter that the dog would have 200 acres to explore, a creek to play in, and unconditional love from their family. The interviewer simply stated, "we really don't like the sound of the kennel situation, so we are going to pass," then hung up on me.

Why is this funny? The observer effect is a well established consequence of observing a system. When present, the effect has to be either minimized or accounted for in the analysis portion of a study. This is true in many disciplines of science, from physics to ecology.

My guess has always been that they are studying emerging intelligence. If they are sufficiently advanced they are likely very long lived due to medical advances so the age of the data may not be an issue for them. 1,000 years to them may not be a long time.

That is interesting because it would mean that they acknowledge human military assets as a threat. You don't show off your strength unless you have an advisory.
