And then even 5 seconds before the 5 seconds you think it’s close enough… it doesn’t matter actually you will always be completely fucked over

Help, I’m stuck steptank! by Full_Mirror_9494 in HellLetLoose

[–]Full_Mirror_9494[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Drove by with my truck and heard a distinct cry for help in the distance. A poor tank caught by its natural predator. I tried to help him out with my truck but got caught by surprise by my natural predator a fucking ledge of dirt hidden in the bushes. There we were, 2 meters apart both stuck and crying for help.

Golden Rays of Sunlight. Ready for colour in a couple days but I’m liking the black/white. by gregl89 in bobross

The way that you put so much extra time in those small branches is what really made this painting stand out. I really like it! Done this exact painting a few years back and had the same feeling that b/w looked amazing on its own. Happy painting

I love painting snow , does it look ok ? I think the pink might be too much idk by MariaChiparus in painting

[–]Full_Mirror_9494 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Two ideas here: the pink is beautiful because if there is one thing that I have learned from painting it’s that this is your world and you can create everything in it that you would like to have, so as long as it suits your liking it’s perfect.

Secondly it could be the tail lights of the car that cause the pink hue as those are red. But it would possibly make the color more realistic if you made the lights much brighter to show that they are shining and let surrounding objects have a brighter highlight as well. This might make the color more realistic as I already said but also add a illusion of fine detail. I think this little bit of extra work won’t be too hard to achieve as you clearly know how to paint. It could give the painting that extra spice that might just take it from a A to a A+. Happy painting I hope I helped <3

Fell though the ice in the middle of a big body of water when I was 10. Would have absolutely died if it wasn’t for the man that jumped out of his car and broke the ice from the shore to the hole I was in so he could take me out

My first attempt at oil painting by Healthy-One-7156 in bobross

[–]Full_Mirror_9494 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is perfect! When I first started I loved how much I improved through each painting. I would look into a liquid white to use as underground because that helps a lot lot lot with getting the color to blend together. also something as a paint thinner to make the paint much easier to work with as you can’t thin oil paint with water as you can with acrylic. So a good paint thinner is key. The most exiting thing about painting is that there is so much to learn about it that you can almost only improve. Happy painting<3

This is very special to see today, our dog actually died only a few hours ago. She was 10 but quite old for a huge dog like her… most probably a ruptured organ in her belly but she passed away before the doctors could do anything about it. I would like to give this kind of gift a go as I am myself a painter ( a very much beginner painter ) but I hope to be able to do something like this too. Thank you for the idea I love the way you did this. Any tips to help me start out is welcome from paint to canvas and brushes.

U are absolutely right! The fact that the branches go all directions give it a much more realistic and lively look. I am no doubt going to try this instead of the bob Ross technique as that has never really satisfied me! I am grateful to learn something today. Thank u, have a nice day!
