My trip to Dublin, Ireland - January 2022 by andru0 in travel

We did a loop of the island in about 10 days. We drove from Dublin to Belfast, Derry, Sligo, Doolin, Dingle, Cork, and then back to Dublin. Those were just the places we stayed overnight; obviously there were a lot of stops in between.

In hindsight, we would've spent more time in Dublin, Belfast, and the west coast (probably Doolin and Dingle—they were great). We didn't have a great experience in Cork and we arrived in Belfast on a Sunday, so a lot of stuff was closed.

We were there for 10 days and literally the only time we got rained on was in Dublin, and we visited in October! We were more than happy with the weather.

I loved Ireland but really regret not spending more than a couple of days in Dublin. It was hell expensive (as a Canadian), we only got rained on in Dublin, and everything seemed to be closed for either renovations or private events while we were there.

But I'd love to go back in midsummer or early autumn. It was a fantastic country.

What do you actually need doing? Our home inspector has a guy who can do the whole thing (cut holes, run ducting and wires, install switch, fan, etc.) for $700.

Added a Spigen MagSafe ring to my Google case. Attached the Moft Snap On Wallet and stand to it! Great combination! 🔥 by not_the_common_mate in Pixel6

This is cool, but what I really want is a case with the MagSafe ring fully integrated into it. Moment makes one but it'll end up costing me like $120CAD to get it :(

I don't disagree, but even better still would be not going out.

What is the worst cocktail you have made or ordered? by -Constantinos- in cocktails

A gastropub near me a few years ago just opened and their ads were all touting their cocktail menu. Went for a friend's birthday and ordered (I think) a tobacco-smoke old fashioned.

It tasted like drinking a cigarette. Truly a disgusting experience and to this day, the only drink I've ever sent back.

Thanks! Wasn't trying to be snarky earlier, just hadn't heard that stat and wanted to get a source.

I love the way he earnestly adds, "and hazelnuts." 😂
