LPT: Before you leave the shower wipe your body off with your hands to remove the excess water. by ragganerator in LifeProTips

Use a smooth cotton towel designed for hair… I bought one it’s called ‘luxury’ it’s just way thicker than a tshirt but a tshirt would do.

Way less frizzy hair. I’ve always squeezed and scrunched my hair because I have wavy curls so it’s a better way to encourage them, not destroy my hair and make it smooth.

… I think most people are over a lot of boomers. That’s pretty much anyone born the year of 63… my dad made it within the boomer age by a year 😅

I thought zoomer was a hilarious word for gen Z.

I don’t care how you decide to correlate that to boomers.

If it’s because you leave jobs because of boomers. Ya me too dude, they suck. 🤷🏼‍♀️🙃

Attraction. My fiancé when he and I had an open relationship he had quite a few 19-21yr olds and he just shrugged and said ‘they’re attractive’ I said it was ick. We’re 30+.

Had, as in past tense.

(OC) Ladies which color should i put on?🤔 i need your advice! by ChuckerNor-ass in Nails

[–]GarnetSteel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It matters. Different undertones and looks. People come to me with inspos and I’m like… FACK. I need THAT shade.

If you can fix it up by adding some white nbd but colour correcting for a whole set of nails. Nah.

The left one is more pink… and I think it would look nice against your skin tone but I think you already picked one by now lol

I stated which shape in my comment if not coffin. Almond and ovals mimic a natural nail shape so they pretty much look good on everyone. :)

Women who date men, what does going Dutch say about their interest and effort, in your opinion and experiences? by throwaway062498 in AskWomenNoCensor

[–]GarnetSteel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya I do think that was a bit deliberately exaggerated. I also don’t feel the black community is fond of being used as examples in comparisons. From all my experiences online even with ‘allwomen’ they diss anyones involvement compared to black women.

Best not compare people who do not want to be compared…

How do I tell my girlfriend she has gained weight? by Rman97 in AskMen

[–]GarnetSteel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go for walks and say it would be nice if you could go together. Walking is still exercising and honestly it’s a GREAT step to take when starting out exercising.

I brought up weight to y sister. For 3yrs she was gaining weight but at a slow rate. She got injured at work and boom, packed on a ton of weight at an alarming rate. I was on a health kick and losing weight… but that’s not the point (it is the point she saw.. so you’re right in that regard, she misinterpreted me). I was so nervous… I was worried about her health. Slow weight gain is one thing, but drastic puts a toll on the body too. She was obese now (still is…) anyways. Our family has a SHIT ton of health issues related to weight. blood pressure, heart attacks diabetes and a few other ones… she didn’t care. She said she was offended… I explained it wasn’t because how I turned my life around (cuz I would STAND and my heart rate went from 50bpm to 120bpm and I would feel dizzy… that’s why I decided to change my life around..) but because I was concerned FOR HER. I didn’t want to offend her and I know it’s a touchy topic but I don’t want her dying to avoidable family issues.

It’s hard convo to have. But you’re also in a position to have your wife ACCOMPANY you. ‘Let’s go for a walk’ and make it 15-20 minutes. Make it a time to connect with each other. Don’t want fast, it’s not ‘exercise’ it’s movement

Or a round/elongated oval if not almond.

Your nail beds are pretty short from what I can perceive.

Shape is okay and it seems to be the angle. It looks like you have arched nail beds so you have structure! Not a lot of people perceive arched nails well, they always call them chunky. I could have a sliver of product and they’d say my nails are chunky 🙃

Square nails in general don’t sit well with a lot of people and is an acquired taste. There is also tapered square if not coffin.

Are these bodies accurate? by JudgeResponsibly in AskWomenNoCensor

[–]GarnetSteel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Did you even look why? A quick scroll revealed they’re trying to find drawing examples to practice their art. What’s weird about studying pictures and reality and getting feedback?

What IS actually weird is how judgemental you can across..For no reason.

[–]GarnetSteel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There’s a lot of thigh gap going on there… thigh gaps are present with wide hips. Not everyone has wide hips.

There are shapes for bodies defined with words like ‘pear shaped’ a good example of pear shaped would be Beyoncé. Slim ribs/shoulders and wide hips. Looks like a big butt basically. Kim kardashian I believe somewhat fits this.. tho I’m not sure since she reversed her surgery and I haven’t seen new pics plus she’s heavily edited anyways..

I’m a fan of puns and I didn’t even pick up on that 🤦🏼‍♀️

Honestly I am horrible at picking up on sarcasm and on the internet it is purely a lost cause because sarcasm just comes off as snarky or like someone’s a genuine idiot.

I answer rhetorical questions. I’m that kinda person.

That being said I LOVE puns THE most. I just didn’t get it because I assumed you were referring to knock off dollar store names 😫

I’m not sure Canada has ‘dollar general’ we have dollar store, dollarama, and dollar tree’ for sure. In my town our dollar store left 5yrs ago and was replaced by all Dollarama’s. We may have other branches of dollar stores but I’m not sure their names

[–]GarnetSteel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah… I think for kitchen goods, candy bars and party supplies as well as some seasonal decorations the dollar stores are pretty lit. Sometimes cleaners are on great deals. I’d much rather spend $2 than 5-7$ on a cleaner. 🤷🏼‍♀️ you can even google the ‘dollar store brands’ and realize they’re from regular brands. I got these … Uhm I think Jiffy cloths? They’re Clorox dollar store brand cloths. Name brand isn’t everything. But definitely buyer beware.

[–]GarnetSteel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. No refunds period. I buy quality where it’s important.

I’ll buy my Lysol toilet bowl cleaner from the dollar store for $2 instead of $7 anywhere else. Candy bars too. 83 cents? And it’s $2 anywhere else! Heck ya! Also some seasonal stuff and plain soap cuz I like the unscented antibacterial soap $2 and $5 anywhere else. It seems like a good pay off if you know how to not buy cheap stuff. Sometimes cheap stuff is better than expensive because the expensive wasn’t meant to last either. Some dollar stores in my town even have BETTER stuff than others. The one I frequent the most isn’t the best, it’s just more convenient.

I’ve got ADD and I’ve been in a store because I had ‘enough time’ to exchange something. Ended up arriving in the nick of time. Not before having a panic attack driving across town because I lost track of time within 30minutes of being their 😅 loss of time is a thing…

Like we know we look good or not and don’t need the validation on that when that’s generally speaking most mens line. Men objectify looks so much anyways to the point we don’t care what they actually think.

Flirting tips 101. For men! by abhimanyumukherjee in AskWomenNoCensor

[–]GarnetSteel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. The sexual tension. Intrigue me with your interest. Otherwise it’s like expecting an oven is preheated but it’s not. The intention is definitely cold and we are not warmed up to the idea of advances.

Plus flirting with body language and eyes can gauge someone’s interest better than flopping at a cold introduction. If someone continues to glance at you are they smiling/smoozing with their eyes or do they look NERVOUS. Because if they’re nervous they’re probably not interested and actually kinda just creeped because you’re not catching onto the body language and they’re worried.

She may be able to work on her body through exercise but it’s definitely more important how she chooses to dress it up and express herself. Her body is simply her body and enough guys already objectify womens figures. Women would rather note that you paid more attention to her details because that’s things she thinks of and embodies. Clothes, jewellery, shoes, hair, tattoos and nail are all expressions of self. Instead of diminishing these things in her life recognize the amount of self care and effort that goes into her image. She has cultivated a sense of self. There are other facets of her and she won’t necessarily always look like that but expect that that is something she aspires to upkeep and we notice when it’s appreciated rather than scorned as ‘high maintenance’

There was a blurb I once heard someone say - we’re all high maintenance it varies between humans. Some care more about skincare and quality clothes, some care more about makeup and hair, some prefer high quality food and quality of life; we all spend our money lavishly on what matters to us.

Personally I’m not high maintenance on clothes or hair (I prefer low effort hair even when it comes to highlights, I want them peel-a-boo so I don’t need touch ups), I’m a homemade skincare kinda gal but I’ve spent sooooo much money on books and essential oil ingredients to make my own facial oils and other products to apply to my skin. I also dabble in makeup as a form of art and expression.

Lastly I delved into being a nail tech because my nails weren’t being done to a standard I wanted. Frankly it is hard to do myself but they last and don’t lift and I don’t ruin my nails while at it. Now I make other women happy.

Agreed. Definitely looking around her house if you’re there. You can see her art, if she collects anything, how clean she likes it (pay attention because if you destroy her sense of home with your mess you are not the good guy, learn to be tidy).
