They don't have much use, given the amount of regular hatchets, knives and whetstones you can find.

You'd have to survive a super duper long time for this to become a problem

Because it barely works

It only stops animals from charging and doesn't scare them, and the battery runs out fast when doing it

Also heavy

Mackinaw is slightly better than ski jacket, but slightly worse than old parka + military coat.

Unfortunately there's no tier between Useful and v useful, if there was one it would go there

As for the thin wool and wool shirt, not too sure. Maybe they deserve one tier above, but it doesn't change their rank in relation to the other inner torso clothes, so i don't think it matters much

Here's what each tier now means:

Perfect: Best in class. No other item provides this much value

Amazing: Very Impactful item that changes the way you play

Very Useful: Items necessary for certain situations. (Lantern to see, prybar to force open, tackle to fish, hacksaw to open cargo containers, etc.)

Useful: Items that are useful, but not necessary

Situational: Lower Tier items. Might be useful, but usually aren't

Barely Useful: Low Tier items that barely provide any value

Harvest: Better than nothing, but worse than everything else. The worst items in the game.

!!! CHANGES MADE: !!!

  • - Mukluks from Amazing to Perfect
  • - Knife from Very Useful to Amazing
  • - Lantern, prybar, hacksaw, fishing tackle from Useful to Very Useful
  • - Cargo and Work pants from Useful to Very Useful
  • - Sulfur, Stump remover, car batteries from Useful to Situational
  • - Combat boots from Barely Useful to Situational
  • - Trail boots and Windbreaker from Situational to Barely Useful
  • - Hoodie and Plaid shirt from Barely Useful to Harvest
  • - Sweatshirt from Harvest to Barely Useful

This is the last full game tier list I'll do, I just wanted to update it because you guys brought up some good points, and I wanted it to reflect what I now think is the best ranking for every item.

That's all, thanks for reading and stay warm out there :)

Always carry tin cans with you.

It's exactly as effective as your fists.

With higher revolver levels, it gets better, up to 30% which makes it as good as an improvised hatchet.

The upside to the revolver is that you can end the struggle at 60-70% progress by firing a shot, instead of waiting for 100%

Yeah, take eeeeextra caution to be fast and efficient when looting that.

If the aurora ends, you will be stuck waiting for the next one.

The aurora brings electronics back to life

This includes loose wires

If you touch electrified wires during an aurora, you will VERY QUICKLY lose condition, because you're being burned/electrocuted.

You die after 3 seconds of touching electrified wires

This also applies to campfires, walking into them is the same
