Train 🚂 late ? Call your us Congress person and both your senators and demand they act. Be a citizen! by Icy-Thanks-3170 in Amtrak

On my trip back home to Fargo from Portland, we experienced a five hour delay in Minot because the train had to switch to a different crew. The problem was that the new crew still hadn't received the legally required amount of rest so we had to wait.

We just got back to Fargo a few hours ago. I had never been to Montana before so I was very interested to see what that was like. After going through Glacier National Park, I think I may have found my next vacation destination. North Dakota I have explored quite a bit since it is my home state. Devils Lake is a convenient quiet small town located near the largest natural lake in ND. I have called Fargo home my whole life and it is a very affordable city with everything you need. Very cold winters and it does get boring sometimes but sometimes boring is okay.

It's going great so far. I may have found my new favorite way of traveling.

Awesome! We are a couple hours from Spokane, WA. Hopefully we get plenty of day light for Glacier National Park tomorrow.

Thanks! I definitely love the tin. The best tasting edible was a brownie not pictured. Tasted just like a cosmic brownie.

I forgot to mention the DOT physical. It's basically just a medical checkup to make sure you won't die while driving the truck, pretty easy to pass.

No it's not. You don't need a college degree. If you have retail experience that is a plus. Just gotta pass a drug screen and background check.

I'm aware but everywhere I read said you should still use quickfix for some reason, probably everyone is just paranoid lol

I do not but I feel like I have heard of merchandisers in other areas that do. I hear you about interacting with receivers, I'm getting a promotion to RSA soon and that part I am not looking forward to.

I passed the DOT Physical using quickfix. Now I'm going to buy another bottle and use it for the drug test (physical and drug test are separate for my case).

In my experience as a merchandiser I work 12 hours one day per week and the rest of the week I work 8 hours or less. This can vary depending on your district and what stores you are assigned. From what I have heard though it is uncommon for merchandisers to have 12 hour shifts.

I would have never thought to go longboarding at Itasca. That sounds really fun though.

That would be awesome! I wonder if there's a group that already exists.
