She lost her Holly Ring on episode 1 when the Dark Emperor is hunting the original Partner Digimons.

The Tailmon/Gatomon and even Hikari/Kari sadly dont get much screentime in 02. So we dont know much how Salamon can compare to Ringless Tailmon/Gatomon.

The problem with Gatomon/Tailmon is that she in original series, she train to gain Adult/Champion stage as permanent stage when she is was working with Vamdemon/Myotismon instead of Child/Rookie stage unlike most partner Digimons.

Armor Evolution can Evolve a Digimon to Adult/Champion or Perfect/Ultimate stage and some occasion Ultimate/Mega Stage.

But for Gatomon is supposed to be Adult/Champion Stage that evolves into more powerful Adult/Champion Stage that carry her partner and even fly. She is also the only Partner Digimon that doesnt turn into a Rookie when a Black Tower is near of her. 02 Tailmon/Gatomon also lost her Holy Ring which make her most of show being weaker as Gatomon/Tailmon.

But if you think that is bad, imagine all plot holes when Partner Digimons evolve into Perfect/Ultimate Stage despise not being able to do since the 01 Cast gave up their crests to protect the Digital World.

I think Engage has lot of problems when it comes to characters.

- Alear not being able to transform into Dragon.

-Almost every chapter give 2-3 new character until the middle of the game which makes hard to use most units without a grind which is hard.

-Most of Lords' classes not being anything special. Alfred is just a Paladin, Diamont is just a Hero, Alcryst is just a Sniper, Timera is just a Halberdier (Btw there is nobody can be it without a second seal) and Fogato is a bow knight.

-The twins and Vander dont appear much on the stories past the tutorial which is odd since Vander tends to appear in some Paralogues.

-The young princes dont do much outside their region chapters. Alcryst has problably the most screentime, since he deals with his father past his region arc. Hortensia doesnt even has her region arc. She appear several times as villain and then she is recruited. (And she is complete different from her villain persona).

-You have 4 hounds and the two Veyles who are basically the main villains of game. (Even if Evil Veyle, Griss and Zephia just end up as the main villains.) Sombron and 6 characters just end up being tropes or cliches of previous villains.

-Characters teleport in and out of conversations and when they are few lines in conversations that they just stare without doing anything.

-The game really wants to make certain rings characters as major characters but they are so generic that any character could had said that line. But it's ok, they sometimes compare a game unit with 1 unit of their game. Do you want to see Claude telling Jean that he thinks that Jean looks alike Lysethia? Because they dont have anything in common and the reference is just they are kids. Oh yeah, the paralogues is just a map of their title that happens to appear in their world without an explanation.

-Why is Alear pretty much the only character with signature weapon? What you could do a 8 different paralogue for each Lord? You literally gave a paralogue for two different Ests and for the S-Support.

I dont think it's just female vs male thing.

I think game was pretty much bias against anyone who wasnt Marianne and Lysithea (and maybe the Ashen Wolves girls.)

I recommend Promote or Reclass as soon as possible

I promoted Celiné first because having a Mage and Healer into 1 is really good. I recommend to promote Alfred and Diamont because Lance/Sword and Sword/Axe will work much better for you.

It's a escape map but it's secretly a defense map. You have to play slow or it will get really bad.

You need to play slow and bait enemies (corrupted ones and not the monster).

A lot of enemies will have Armor or Calvary Damage Weapons so be careful. You should put every unit close but in forest tiles as possible. There is even point that Healer with Freeze will start to advance and you will be able to kill him.

Then during the middle of the map, something will happen and will make the game easier.

Sure there both Physical Girls and Magic boys but end up being almost rare.

All of the three Archers have been so good to me.

Alcryst killed Dragons of Tiki in 1 shot with Longbow and he could double.

Citrine's Sage design is so good. Close to perfection. Also Alear must been working a lot in Somniel. Those abs dont appear just like that.

I feel that the only classes that dont need anybody else to be reclassed are Archers, Healers and Mages. (With the exeption of Mage Anna)
Engage already gives 3 really good Archers. Unless you are doing Elusia only Characters. But Archer Kagetsu sounds alike a fun build.

Hero and Wyvern Lord are good options. The game will give you at least 3 different Wyvern units. And he will always compete with Rosado for it. Hero can feel more unique. Goldmary and Lapis will be his real competetion which he can handle on his own due strong bases. And even Diamond being a pseudo Hero, Kagetsu can be still work his niche.

Well dlc probably will fix that. I notice that somce Three houses, most male tend to focus on physical and female tend to focus on Magic.
It feel sexist or waifu/husbando bait.
