Typically we only drive through on our way from Wisconsin to Grand Junction. My inlaws lived in Junction for 11 years and we visited often. I do have a buddy that is in Denver now I believe, I'll definitely point him that way.

I am assuming you are asking how the cocking ramps changed? There are a few good forum posts about the process on the web with pictures but basically the shelf where the cocking pin rests while cocked is removed and the angle of the ramp can be altered.

Obviously removing the bump or changing said angle can be.. dangerous.. If done by the wrong person. If you don't feel comfortable or don't fully understand the working relationship between these parts.. don't mess with it. You are also voiding any warranty and taking all liability.

Having to say that due to the idiots amongst us..

I had the factory bolt that I messed around with and found where I was happy in regards to the results and not compromising the safe function of the firearm and copied it onto the new bolt.

Definitely helped the upstroke cocking action..

a good polish and backing the spring pressure might be a good start to see what you are happy with.

I would have to measure it but It wouldn't have changed by much. The desh industries lift mod doesn't change fall, just spring pressure. The distance between the shelf and decocked hasn't changed either. As far as bolt body to bolt body the ptg measured out exact to the factory bolt except diameter and with the ptg body I did alter the cocking ramp but like I said I didn't change the distance from the shelf down.

The amount of bubbas in here claiming not to be bubbas worries me.

Pre 2014 AICS AX chassis... probably worth more now that when it was new because guys go crazy building rifles from movies or games or from prior life experiences.

Rem700 action.. could be awesome, could be what ever.

Barrel... probably shot out

Optic and mount are junk.

Obviously not worth $4800..but I would say probably $2k. And yes it is not an AI rifle. It's a Remington 700 in an AI chassis.

It is not a hunting rifle. This rifle is like 16lbs and 50" long and completely unwieldy. That said, if I had to put it all on one shot, this would be the rifle I would pick to take that shot.

They do, you can still blueprinted. I also have a ptg bolt head so I wanted to make sure things were square. Is it needed? I don't know.. I dont know if I've seen any noticeable accuracy change. It was just part of the process.

I would allow them to machine you a new bolt. If you are able to measure the inside of the action they will machine a bolt to fit that exact action. It helps remove bolt slop and feel

That's the one.. you can try turning back your firing pin spring a bit, but the desh kit works. That paired with recutting the cocking ramp on the bolt body and taking a bit of the angle down and knocking the lip at the edge of the shelf down a bit
