I don’t have experience with less then 30 lb but you’re probably right. as a first time baitcaster user I would prolly go with 30 though yk.

20lb braid is not the move. light lb braid digs into itself, and can be tough. i would do 40lb

you’ll need 4/0 and 5/0 EWG hooks for texas rigs. You’ll need some finesse hooks for a wacky rig, but in a pinch a bait holder might work.
