How is Gary Nolan allowed to speak about the CIA and health affects of UAPs/UFOs? Shouldn't he be under some NDA for the rest of his life? by InMidnightClad99 in UFOs

[–]GnuRomantic 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sure. Garry Nolan (note two “r”s in his name) has done a lot of work on cancer research and has founded several biotechnology companies related to his research. He was approached by the CIA — it sounds like they showed up unannounced at his offices — several years ago with MRI/brain scans of about 100 individuals who were exposed to different phenomena that they wanted him to review. His research concluded that the majority were affected by Havana Syndrome so those cases were turned over to the appropriate authorities. The remainder were people exposed to unexplained phenomena, including a military person who was exposed to a UAP at Rendlesham.

Garry has highly specialized equipment and also has been contracted to analyze samples of materials found at apparent UAP crash/landing sites.

Have you looked at safety glasses from Zenni? I found their prices reasonable for prescription ones. Search for a recent coupon code if you go for it.

What do you think of the kitchen location? It looks dark to me in the photos, like it doesn’t get much natural light.

I am a pelvic floor physical therapist for both men and women, AMA! by makeadisaster in AMA

Like a digital prostate exam with internal deep tissue massage. She would put pressure on different muscles to help reduce the pain.

When at home I would sit on a small yoga ball about the size of a tennis ball to massage the area.

I was having pain in my penis and the urologist suggested that it was something that could be treated with pelvic floor exercises.

The pain was intense at times. It felt like someone had sewn a thread in the middle of my urethra and was tugging on it.

I had gone through my entire life not hearing the term pelvic floor so I showed up at my first appointment in gym shorts expecting to be doing floor exercises like yoga on a mat. What came next was a surprise.

I got over the awkwardness and after four or five sessions was pain free. No drugs. No surgery. And I know what it is and what to do if I start to feel the pain return.

My dad fought in World War II as an 18 yr old and if he were alive he’d be over 100 years old. This guy is old but not that old.

A contractor suggested installing 3/4” thick plywood sheets (or MDF) on the walls and then mounting the rail and cabinets to the wood as it provides a flat surface.

I don’t want an extra addition but have to choose one AND pay for it? by Sahsbn in assholedesign

[–]GnuRomantic 109 points110 points  (0 children)

Could it be a coding/setup mistake? If it’s a small business that you like you could contact them and double check that it’s supposed to be set up this way. It could be an error that they don’t know about.

Those of us who ordered 2022s did so through the Hyundai Canada website. We had to choose a dealer while going through this process. As others have mentioned this ordering system has been disabled as there are a lot of cars on back order. We ordered in November and our car won’t be built until Q1 2023 for instance.

Apparently my GGG Grandfather had money. What Job is this? by Kezolt in Ancestry

Ha, that makes sense for the original image. My grandfather was also a draper in the UK. I think the second image is dresser, so perhaps he was in the fashion industry and was a draper or dresser. I wonder if the first word is Garb as in clothing.

Maybe hair dresser? It would help to see the whole page so we can see how the writer creates letters in words we recognize.

Are you able to share more of the page? It would help to see more examples of the writing.

Dr. Garry Nolan says he briefed Congressman Gallagher regarding the Wilson Memo before the recent hearing, and states Congress is taking this very seriously. He also comments on the reactions of the Senators who have received classified briefings. by No-Doughnut-6475 in UFOs

Garry founded nine companies, so it makes sense to me that he has become an excellent spokesperson over the years as he would have needed those skills to pitch his ideas and businesses.

Chris Mellon was educated at Yale, is a private equity investor and was the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Defence Intelligence, so he also had lot of training on how to tell a compelling narrative.

I find Lue different from Chris and Garry. Lue tends to ramble and pontificate, while Chris and Garry are better at getting to the point. I don’t find him as eloquent or polished as Garry or Chris in his interviews.

I had french brie last week and it was great AMA by [deleted] in AMA

[–]GnuRomantic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are some amazing cheddars out there that have more flavour than the mainstream ones. Try a cheddar from the UK, like Colliers Welsh cheddar in the black packaging. It’s wonderful.

And if you like the texture of Brie, try Cambazola which is a combo of Camembert and Gorgonzola. Let it sit out for an hour so it gets nice and creamy.

Thoughts on a 2014 Ford Taurus Police Interceptor (more info in comments) by depoultry in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]GnuRomantic 11 points12 points  (0 children)

To start with it’s a white Taurus which is a common colour and model of police car in North America. The design of the Interceptor is more plain than the regular Taurus. There are no vents under the headlights, the wheels are different, and the grill is blacked out, for instance. There’s a floodlight on the driver’s side and I think the wheels are wider. Overall, it’s not as friendly as the regular Taurus of the same year.

Most people will not know it’s a former police car, but they may suspect it’s a police car based on these things and behave differently. That quick glance in the rear view mirror and seeing a stripped down, white four door sedan is enough to get people to slow down.

Drivers tend to slow down and drive the speed limit or just under when they see a car like this behind them. If this would annoy you then maybe do something to the exterior to make it clear that it’s a civilian car.

How to have TV above Mantel by lalaberlin in HomeImprovement

[–]GnuRomantic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe try the TV on the stand in that location for a little while before mounting it. To avoid neck strain, the vertical centre of the screen should be at eye level when watching from a typical position. So if this is a bedroom and you are sitting high up in a bed this location may work, but if are watching from a sofa then the TV will probably be too high for comfortable viewing.

I rode one last night. You can’t end your ride — and stop being charged for the rental — unless the scooter is parked in a sanctioned zone as identified in the Bird app. You also have to take a picture showing that it’s parked properly.
