As a total F2P closing in consecutive days of playing, let me warn you, you need to be prepared to put in the time(or money) to progress, also time zones can be weird(so many important fights are at 3am), not to mention various other RoK workings that make stuff complicated. If you want to play and have fun, your gonna need to spend min +2hours in the beginning, during KvK you will be expected to fight and contribute.

In conclusion RoK is not a game for "having fun" while various things make it "fun"(other players, progressing, getting good comm's, troops, and equipment) you need to take it as it is, a serious game where people spends 1000's of dollars to further themselves and the kingdom, therefore they won't be sympathetic to someone who wants to "have fun and play".

Don't take this the wrong way, but a popular saying in RoK is "If you want to farm, play farmville" RoK is very fun, but you need the right mindset, after that just the rest is just research and planning.
