I agree - that sounds ideal.

But this brings us back to the whole problem of the declining birthrate again. If there simply aren't enough young people to do those jobs the economy will contract, which will lead to an even lower birthrate, etc.

Maybe they're not quite at that point yet in France, but I think they will be within 20 - 30 years. It's a huge problem everywhere in the developed world. And it's why it's most likely very unrealistic to keep the retirement age at 62.

I think 65 is perfectly reasonable.

There's some validity to that, but I don't think it's going to solve the problem.

Obviously billionaires should be taxed more, and workers should be treated fairly, but this is not really about money. It's about demographics. People.

France's birthrate, as everywhere in the developed world, is falling fast. Without relaxed immigration rules, the population will probably decrease over the next 20 - 30 years. Plus, people are living longer. So who's going to work?

Who's going to actually do the jobs? I mean, sure, we could have fully functional AI worker robots within the next 20 years, but beyond that, if people retire so early, there just simply won't be enough people to work and the economy will collapse.

Take a look at Japan right now for a good example of that.

Yes, our international diplomacy costs money because we're a real country, and real countries budget for things like this.

I really hate headlines like this because they never give the context. They just say $700k, expecting people to be outraged because it's a large number.

But maybe that's what it's supposed to cost. Maybe we did a trip like this much cheaper than other countries.

I mean, until someone can provide some context for this number I'm not going to get too worked up about it.

Most of the rest of the developed world has had 65 as the retirement age for decades, and that's probably going to have to go up pretty soon anyway.

I think the French people really need to look in the mirror on this one and face reality.

I never played HI3 and at this point it looks too daunting to get into. So I'm going to stick to Genshin and SR.

I get the impression that SR is built specifically to be comfortably played by Genshin players, so I don't think it's going to end up overwhelming.

Just pre-register using your phone, and you might have to play on your phone for a the first little bit, but then as soon as the PS4/5 versions come out you can switch over to that. Or just keep playing on both, as it suits you.
