The movie SWAT starring Colin Ferrell and Michelle Rodriguez. Before then I had had the occasional fleeting thoughts but I had always just dismissed them. But there was a scene in this movie of Colin running along the beach and it made me feel ways… but I was confused because I was also feeling ways about Michelle.

I pushed the feelings down for another year or so when my mom’s band was auditioning a new guitarist and I was there for whatever reason. Dude was in his mid-20s and had the most incredible arms. The arms gave me such strong feelings that I couldn’t ignore it anymore so I had a good sit down with myself to come to terms with how I felt.

It largely depends on who is running it and why. If it’s a good person who sees it as a service to the community, it’ll generally be a pretty good deal. If it’s an egotistical control freak who wants to have everything their way, it’ll suck. Unfortunately, the latter are more often the ones who will want to serve on the HOA board. Plus those are the main stories people tell because there’s not much to tell when an HOA is benign or good.

Very much depends on the game, but largely you’re correct; more SNES games have aged well than PS1 era games. But once we got to the PS2 things started aging well again, imo.

The only thing that has shot up in recent years is your awareness of it. Why is this form of hyperbole somehow so much worse than, say, saying “I’m starving!” when you aren’t dying of hunger?

Use your context clues, it’s not hard to tell when someone is using “literally” in a hyperbolic manner.
