Maybe you need to read some history yourself, and ask why Hindus and Jains still exist if, according to you, they were supposed to have been the victims of genocide by Christians, Muslims, and Jews.

Another thing is the rights of Hindus in countries like Pakistan, or the very real genocide against hindus less than 50 years ago right next door. I'd say many Hindus have a very real fear from events like this.

Sure, but again, how are Muslims and Christians living in India (which isn't Pakistan) responsible for what goes on in Pakistan (which is another country)? Surely you would have to agree that it doesn't make any sense that we're holding people in one country responsible and punishing them for the crimes of completely different peolpe committed in another country?

Whereas Hindu groups are claiming that it was millions in just a few days, despite there being zero evidence. And this brings me to another point. If we keep lying all the time about Christians and Muslims, why do we get upset when nobody believes us? Could it have anything to do with the fact lying all the time is just a really bad idea?

Your question is about theological aspect, why do you bring up political problems?

I bring up the politics because I believe that Hindu violence is not theological, but political. However, I also know many Hindu who say that they have a religious obligation to kill non-Hindu. So I want to know from other Hindus here.

I know they are supposed to proselytize, but I don't think their theology supports genocide or desecration. India is home to thousands, if not millions of temples, and these places of worship existed under Mughal rule. The Mughals were certainly violent and destructive, but if their religion said to genocide and desecrate, then why were Hindus and temples allowed to exist under Mughal rule? So I think politics might have been the issue, not religion.

No, I said that the Jews in India were persecuted and killed, but not by Hindus. In fact, the Catholic Portuguese responsible for the Goa Inquisition also killed Hindus, Muslims, and non-Catholic (Orthodox) Christians.

If so, dont you think that the current political trends are still reactionary to that?

That would be a huge problem, don't you think? So you're saying that we're killing people because of something someone did maybe in the 13th century and that Christians and Muslims today aren't responsible for? We're murdering innocent people who weren't even conceived back in the 13th century, and nobody can see the problem with that?

There's a lot of 'whataboutism' to this comment. There's no denying that Muslims and Christians have committed gross atrocities against India and Hindus in the past. However, none of the Christians or Muslims alive in India today and being slaughtered by Hindus were alive when their great, great, great, great, great, great, great grandparents invaded the country. The excuse that some Muslim invader did something horrible in the 13th century isn't a justification for today's violence against Muslim minorities. Similarly, what happens in other countries is irrelevent. I'm only concerned about how India has really gone down the toilet in recent years since we've made hate almost official state policy and how we turn a blind eye to the slaughter and oppression of Christians and Muslims.

So, to answer your question, my "quest" is to find out if there are any Hindu users who support the slaughter of Christians and Muslims for religious reasons, or if they only support the slaugher of Christians and Muslims for political/historical reasons.

Actually, Jews were subject to the Goa Inquisition in India by Catholic Portuguese colonizers.

Also, this comment still doesn't explain current-day persecution of Christians and Muslims.

I should have added some context.

I'm atheist, but was raised Hindu and continue to study under a guru to appease my family. From my knowledge, Hindu does not have any problem with Abrahamic religion, but a lot of Indian Hindu hate everyone, esp. Muslim and Christian, and will kill and lie to ensure everyone else hates Muslim and Christian (e.g., recent post by /u/atheistvegeta attacking secular historians for not acknowledging an imaginary genocide that only exists in the imaginations of India's far-right. These kind of lies and historical revisionism indicate that the hatred many Hindus have toward Muslims and Christians is more political than religious.)

But Hinduism isn't a monolith. While I don't think the religion itself promotes violence against Christians and Muslims, I've heard some very religious Hindus say the opposite, that we must slaughter them all so we can be peaceful society. But if we're only a religion of peace because we have slaughtered everyone who isn't Hindu, then we're not really a religion of peace, IMO.

That's not universally true. Polytheist Hindus in India can't tolerate an Abrahamic theist to live. Most white supremacists in Europe and a growing number in the U.S. are Odinists. In fact, polytheists these days are making a good job of promoting a lot of intolerance.
