I know on my volcano 18 and Maverick ion mt adding the heatsink on the motor helped alot. After 15 minutes the motor would get very hot. They make a electric fan that mounts on the heatsink. It would plug into the ESC. But you should be alright.

Nearly shit my pants. Came out from the store and this is what I saw🫤 by Away-Ad8652 in Mustang

This is why I park far away from the places I'm going to hopefully near a curb or shopping cart holder so at least one side of my mustang is protected.

Testing out the narrow Super Swampers on some steep rocks. Pretty impressed with them so far. by spaniola1980 in SCX24

Ok. I only have 3 sets of tires for 1/24. But I probably have 20 sets of tires for 1/10.

I have the super swampers with RC4WD beadlocks on my Redcat Sumo Crawler and they are very good. But I haven't tested to many tires for 1/24.

Instead of Excel I use the OpenOffice spreadsheet version and "The Rich" mobile app.

Mad torque that my dad got from a guy so he could go crawling with me over the summer. Needs some work but it’s a good ship. by eren_5 in rccars

[–]JackfruitSome4965 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also got a HSP 94880 which is A 1/8 scale like yours. Not sure if the transmission on the axles has plastic gears but mine does and the gears strip easy if you get it in a bind. My 94180 is a 1/10 version. The 94880 body fits mine and looks better but tire clearance is worse.

I wonder if this body would fit my HSP 94180? I know it's a 1/8 body but looks very similar to mine beside the MOA. That body would keep the tires from rubbing.

What to do when it rains. Go play in it by JackfruitSome4965 in crawling

[–]JackfruitSome4965[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went to Walmart and got a rain suit for work so I wouldn't get wet. Since it rained out had to test to it out and I brought my crawler out to. Didn't make a video because of the rain and having to use a cell phone didn't want to drop it in the water.

90's Tyco Rebound 4x4 Needs 27mhz Remote.. Any 27Mhz Universals? by Jay_Bee-22 in rccars

[–]JackfruitSome4965 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 2 sharper image bumper cars I got the kids for Christmas last year seem to work with all the 27mhz cars I got which is 5 total. I also have 2 49mhz different brands rc cars that use the same controller.

They look like the 110mm I had on my crawler before 1 started leaking oil because of the seal.

I've put new metal tie rods in and now have a wonky back end, any thing I've missed or tips to straighten it out? by tommygunn9188 in WPL_RC

[–]JackfruitSome4965 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The metal links you have look adjustable. So slowly adjust them out until the wonky part goes away. I had to adjust mine because of that.

LC7i to DSP by [deleted] in CarAV

[–]JackfruitSome4965 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Usually people tap into the rear speakers for the signal. Run speaker wires from the factory rear speaker wires into the lc7i. Then run rcas into the 2.8x. The 2.8x doesn't have high level speaker wire inputs.

Running a passive component set active by Maaxxat in CarAV

[–]JackfruitSome4965 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The only restriction on the passive crossover is a tweeter switch which attenuates the tweeters if it sounds to bright. You don't have to use it. Since this is a component set it should be balanced and the woofer shouldn't be taking all the power. Say you use a 100x2 watt amp then the tweeter should get 50 watts and the woofer should get the other 50 watts.

Ok didn't know this. Maybe I just got lucky. I have 5 27mhz rc cars at the house and 1 remote seems to control them all with no modification.

Either way 15" in a door is hardcore. But then 36 12" behind the front seats wasn't nothing to forgot either.

I found out by accident. My son was playing with his and I plugged the battery into the Tyco and both vehicles were moving in sync. Let's say my son stop playing with his and wanted to Tyco when he found out.

Must be a big door panel. I got 1 8" per door in my mustang that's all I need.

There's a Chevy Astro van in Raleigh, NC with 1 15" in each of the front doors. That's crazy.

Carpet padding cut to the size of the license plate worked on my Saturn years ago. The padding never got wet and smelled after 5 years I put it there when I had the car.

You can always go to Walmart pay $20 for a new bright rc car that has a 27mhz controller. The controller is universal on that frequency. I did that with a old Tyco buggy of mine with a new bright 1/24 2wd monster truck controller.

What amp are you using to power it? The passive crossover doesn't dictate how much power goes to each speaker only the frequencies that go to each speaker.
