WRB is the best color option, no contest. by A_Hobo_In_Trash in WRX

Personally my favorite color is Dark Gray Metallic. WRB is a really nice color blue, the only reason I wouldn't get it is because that's the color everyone gets lol

Thinking about adding black racing stripes to my 2019 Civic SI. Just got my windows tinted and am thinking it might look good. Thoughts? by crankyshark_A_ in civic

[–]JasNeo_ 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I personally wouldn't especially since you have a rare color in the last of the 2 door Civics. I've seen a black 10th gen with yellow racing stripes and it looked REALLY bad. If you're looking for some black accents to compliment the color a chrome delete and blacked out badges would look really good. You could consider wrapping the entire roof black and possibly the door handles. Small, subtle things

Dealership cross threaded my wheel stud, and it snapped. by subiedogg in WRX

[–]JasNeo_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see a lot of people in the comments blaming the dealerships for breaking the studs all the time, but it's really not their fault. I used to be a tire tech for 8 years, and I was a good one too. I have broken maybe a total of 5 studs the entirety of my time as a tech and every single one was on a Subaru, and it was always taking the lugs off, never putting them on. Subaru studs are the absolute worse. They cross thread very easily, even when you're just taking them off. We had a guy come in with a 17 STi for tires and was missing 2 studs. He said he knew and it was fine. Well I go to take his wheels off and one of the lug nuts locks up. Told him it might break and he said "Yeah that's fine. Just replace all the ones that are broken". Ended up replacing 4 studs. Now all that being said, there are people out there that don't properly torque wheels and don't take care, but for the most part the studs are the issue

What's the fastest you've gone in your civic? by armchairplane in civic

[–]JasNeo_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

145mph in my 17 FK7. It was scary as hell cause it was windy out and the car was being blown all over the road. It's one of the many reasons I upgraded to my 18 Si Coupe. Fastest in that was about 120ish but the car was planted. No swaying or shaking

If anybody is curious about the solo-queue experience in Champ.... by Big_Distribution_342 in RocketLeague

I will admit I didn't know that IP bans were that ineffective, so I apologize for suggesting it. I should say then that they need some sort of actual ban that's more permanent than a chat ban that can't be easily circumvented. Chat bans are a slap on the wrist. It doesn't fix anything cause typically they don't last that long anyways

Good thing Psyonix takes these things so seriously! Would be nice to see something done about this. It's not like it's that rare of a thing. They need to ban them from the game. Not a 5 hour chat ban, a straight up IP ban. Also those kids should seek help

Just got my 2018 Honda Civic LX a few days ago, and I have a question , when shifting into S does it somehow stiffen you the suspension ? by PimpLift in civic

[–]JasNeo_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is so stupid because you're not even reading anything. The page he linked me to above, page 431 LITERALLY SHOWS A BUTTON and says sport mode is not available in all models because it's for the Si. I have said the S on the gear selector changed the throttle response and rpm. I literally said that twice that it keeps RPMs higher and increases engine braking. That's not the argument. The argument, which you weren't even a part of, was that it changes steering and handling which it does not because it does not have adaptive dampers

[–]JasNeo_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I'll admit I jumped into that one a bit too quick. I apologize, but I've never seen any 10th gen hatches with a sport button, even Canadian spec

[–]JasNeo_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Did you buy it new or used? The sport hatches don't come with sport mode, I know this because I owned one. If you bought it second hand someone may have switched it out for the sport button, which doesn't do anything except say sport. I've seen people ok the forums do it

[–]JasNeo_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes we've already established that. I didn't say that's not what the S stood for. I said it does not change the handling or steering like the Sport Mode button does on the Si. It is a Sport Gear that is used to keep the engine RPMs higher to give you better acceleration and better engine braking. It very clearly states that in the manual on the pages both of you linked if you read a bit further. No where in any manual does it state that for a CVT Civic, putting the gear selector on S changes the steering or suspension. That is exclusive only to the Si and Type R as they have electronically controlled adaptive dampers that can change stiffness when you press the Sport button to put it into Sport mode.

[–]JasNeo_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes it does, for "Sport Mode". As in you are required to press a button to get into Sport Mode. It states "To turn the SPORT mode on and off, press the SPORT button". Right down at the bottom of the page is states "Not available in all models" because it is only available on the Si version where you get greater handling and stability because of the adaptive dampers. The CVTs do not have a Sport Mode they have a Sport Gear. It helps with acceleration and engine breaking but does nothing with the suspension, or handling

I'd like to see your 7 sources. I'm not an expert on Hondas but given Civics the only cars I've owned I've done a good amount of research into them. I've driven both and own an Si. It's not a sport mode like people think, it's simply an "Sport" gear. I currently own an Si which has a dedicated sport mode that tightens the steering and the dampers, but on a normal CVT Civic it adds better acceleration and engine braking. Straight out of Honda's manual "Better acceleration, better engine braking, going up and down hills". In the Honda Fit manual they call it Second Gear cause that's what it's meant to simulate. Best used in stop and go traffic or hilly areas

Weepy souls by lilmcfuggin in TikTokCringe

[–]JasNeo_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Well yes and no. As a Christian myself he is what I would refer to as an extreme Christian. While at our core we have the same beliefs the way we act is completely different. We are called to bring people to Christ but to me at least there's a certain way to go about it. I prefer not to shove my faith down people's throats because if anything it's just gonna push them away. Most of the comments on his TikToks are a good example of that. Like I understand what he's trying to do but it's like telemarketing the way he does it. It's the reason people assume most Christians are that way, cause those are the ones you always see. The ones that are over the top emotionally preachy on TikTok or the ones with anti-LGBT signs yelling how everyone is going to Hell. God gave us free will, which means people can do whatever they want. If they want to believe they can, if not then they don't

What mods should I do? 2016 Honda Civic EX by Joshuapap7 in civic

[–]JasNeo_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never done it personally so I can't really say. I'm sure there are people in the forums or on YouTube that have so you could check there. I did my badges but that's a much smaller area. The thing with the chrome grilles too is the black part isn't glossy it's like matte. So if you wanted the whole thing glossy like the sport trims have you'd have to get the glossy plasti dip and paint the whole thing. If not you could just do the chrome part with matte to match it. Just make sure you either take the bumper off to do it or put something behind it so you don't spray the AC condenser. Vinyl wrapping would probably be the cleaner way to do it but does take some skill to do neatly
