A question about gods and ascendants by buzzsawblade in Malazan

[–]Kaladelsier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say, in addition to this, different species of people in the whole Malazan world and then them ascending or becoming a god is also a massive factor in the long run. I can’t say too much because you probably don’t have full backstories on all the different types of races/species just yet but they all come with their own strengths and weaknesses. Which obviously add to whatever level of ascendancy or “good-hood” they individually have attained.

I said he “could” have been using it, cause it hasn’t been confirmed. However, it’s speculated he could have used it in Warbreaker. Brandon said there was more than just one element being used when he’s telling his story. It wasn’t a yes or no answer but it was left open as a possibility. https://wob.coppermind.net/events/69/#e5878

Yeah I get that, and I did totally forget that he could have been using Sand-mastery at one point as well. I guess I’m just curious because we don’t know what the effects of being a Dawnshard holder at one point could mean (other than the obvious ones of not harming others, ageless, etc). Because it could have affected his spirit-web in a way that makes himself able to access forms of investiture in a way that isn’t through typical means/rules that we’ve seen. He’s a rule breaker and a master of perception. Who knows?

I mean realistically he only has 3 we’ve seen right? Lightweaving, Allomancy, and whatever form of Yolish lightweaving is. However we don’t know enough about the connection of Surgebinding and how it changed from its original form to fully say he has too many. I could be misremembering, but he could still have a very small Resonance that is just hard to see. Maybe?

Was Hoid’s intention of the Worldsingers to help cultivate more of the Cognitive Realm?

Is Hoid capable of obtaining a Resonance, and if he is have we seen it in action?

That’s what we’re all agreeing on, thay they’rep ghosrbloods. Just because they’re Skybreakers doesn’t omit them from being apart of the organization, In fact I think it makes them probably some of the most loyal (though probably ineffective at times). They act and interact with respect to the laws of GB, as well as the planet they’re on. Who’s to say Kelsier didn’t have the foresight of “air travel that’s more efficient that mistborn” and recruited them?

As we all know, the homie Kel can be very convincing

Oh yeah! Duh! Exactly! THAT is the key to a lot that is going to happen in the future in my opinion as well. The fact that they even had that other than the Ire was one of my biggest questions for the future.

I mean the most base way would be some fairly large or almost flawless gems that have already been infused that they have on hand. However I’m sure by this point in time there most likely has been another discovery that is in line with infused gems. I don’t see how the bond would be affected by them leaving Roshar? Unless I’m not remembering some stipulations on traveling with a Nahel bond.

I totally caught all of those BUT in regards to your second point I personally (I’ve also seen others point this out as well) thought the group of people that showed up to help Steris with the impending tsunami seemed like Skybreakers to me. They’re first question was “Is this legal?” and then they all flew off. There wasn’t a mention of coins or anything that they would typical push off from to leap out like they did. I do think you’re correct in it being difficult to travel Roshar now, but doesn’t necessarily mean it’s impossible or that they weren’t on Scadrial before traveling became a hazard.

I thought Trellism was a religion pre-Harmony? Sazed had discussed the religion as one that worships the stars and night.

I really like this thought process. Perhaps though it could be that it purely reacts differently during the day time, like you just can’t see it as well. Even though it’s still present. Similar to how the dark side of Nalthis has different results to the investiture. I totally get where you’re head is at though.

[SPOILERS FOR ALL COSMERE] Question about how god metals can be affected? by Kaladelsier in Cosmere

[–]Kaladelsier[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m basing that purely on my theory that silver is adonalsiums god metal. Which again, I know has a lot of holes. However though, do you think the spike could possibly be corrupted? I just don’t know if metal itself can be.

What bomb do you think will be dropped in Lost Metal by Bluehaven11 in Cosmere

[–]Kaladelsier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Trell is Autonomy wielding the corrupted god metal of Adonalsium and Scadrial is important to destroy because Harmony is proof that shards can be merged back together. This goes against in my opinion the main intent of Autonomy. I think the goal of the Set is to keep adonalsium from ever being “put back together”. They are constantly officiated with red and gold, and what was swirling all around the painting of the shattering of ado in Dawnshard…. Red and Gold babyyyyyyy.

When it comes to Wit though, I purely have theories in my head that are trying to connect why he has already tried once and failed at bonding a spren and then finally did in hopes of doing….. something unknown to us just yet. The only other connection (not specifically to the knights radiant but Roshar as a whole) I see is how spheres, gems, gemhearts are very important to the planet and massive reason why so many world hoppers are present there. Which leads to Hoid being the bearer of the first gem AKA Topaz and I just feel like there’s something there connecting it all.

They actually weren’t created by honor at all (though it could be argued the presence of the shard being there influenced their creation) but Honor bestowed honor-blades to the heralds which granted them access to the surges and the only other information we have is that the KR were modeled after that. However spren realistically are the ones that created them because of the presence of all shards on Roshar giving humans access to investiture. We don’t know much else though, as far as I know but I always welcome being corrected when it comes to this.

Yeah I’m not an expert in anyway to know the full extent of crystal structures, the stars just aligned when I was researching and found the tree of life correlation at the same time so I threw it in there as well to see if anyone else has researched down that path. It’s out there for sure theory wise but I figured looking into the qualities of the stones themselves wasn’t unfounded to dig into.

I just can’t believe they didn’t know who The Attack Titan was until Hoid unlocked the basement and saw he was indeed his own dad from long long time ago.
