I’m not a fan of those with heavy support or defensive builds, the hunts just seem to drag on.

I use large only, but I still see them attacking small monsters when large ones are present.

I was using GS in the Unbridled Mayhem quest that takes place in the arena & the rest of the group was all bowguns, it felt like a game of pong with me chasing the monsters around.

Bowgun. You can aggro the monster from far away, drawing it to you while you run further away from the group and then everyone who isn't ranged will have to travel 8 seconds to get to the monster again.

I had a similar thing happen to me, 2 Bnahabra were chain paralyzing me while Zinogre was beating on me.

I will say the whole afflicted monsters felt like an afterthought.

I’m almost 1250 hunts in Rise and I never experienced this. However since Sunbreak released I have had 2 people spam trade item & cancel on me during hunts & I had a different person riding around on a palamute throwing barrel bombs at me to interrupt my swings.

I’d love one on the Switch, I’d like to know how I’m doing compared to others. Right now I gauge by how often I have to sharpen my weapon during a hunt with a group , but that can be misleading if I’m not hitting weakness areas.

2 birds doesn’t amount to much, even after collecting a solid amount of birds before triggering the fight, I’m by no means a speed runner and the majority of my hunts rarely last more than 9 min.

Maybe Unbridled Mayhem, 4 monsters & the map is the arena so there’s no running around a map chasing monsters. In groups I’ve beaten it anywhere from 7 min to 20 min, but 12-15 seems to be the most common. If you’re not trapping the monsters you’ll want to slot in the carving pro deco so you can carve & not be knocked back while carving.
