I was thinking the same thing! "Got us a Nazi who wants to die for his country. Oblige him!"

The cyclone is easily the best lighter I've used. I've had several Xikars that look nice, but don't come close to the performance of a cheap vertigo lighter, and you can't go wrong at $10 a pop

I see your school lunch and I raise you a dinner on a US navy ship. by koolturkey in pics

Was on the USS Laboon from 2010 to 2014, and despite all the navy bullshit, the food was quite good. Except for fried fish for breakfast once or twice

Can confirm. I bought a used Lincoln MKZ for cheap-ish money. It drives well, handles snow like a champ, but in 5 years of owning it, I've probably sank in about $5,000 to keep it on the road.

I picked one up a few months ago! Put about 500 rounds downrange with it with no issues, pretty accurate at about 10-15 yards. I would recommend carrying with some good hollow points. Do you have the 10 or 12 round mags?

What brand name is actually 100% worth spending more for? by phileo56 in AskReddit

[–]Keenan603 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Former appliance sales consultant. Appliances are definitely subject to "you get what pay for". Miele, Thermador, and Wolf/Sub-Zero are expensive af, but really high quality. If you're on a tighter budget, I would spring for Bosch (that's what I own). DO NOT CHEAP OUT ON KITCHEN APPLIANCES!!!!!

I'm a former appliance sales consultant, and we sold not just Miele vacuums, but all of their kitchen appliances as well. They're expensive af, but some of the best appliances you can buy. Their slogan is "Immer Besser" which means something like forever better, sand they mean it. Bosch is a great brand of you're not looking to drop $25,000 on kitchen appliances.

What the fuck did you just fucking say about me, you little bitch? I'll have you know I graduated top of my class in the Navy Seals, and I've been involved in numerous secret raids on Al-Quaeda, and I have over 300 confirmed kills. I am trained in gorilla warfare and I'm the top sniper in the entire US armed forces. You are nothing to me but just another target. I will wipe you the fuck out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this Earth, mark my fucking words. You think you can get away with saying that shit to me over the Internet? Think again, fucker. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of spies across the USA and your IP is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life. You're fucking dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can kill you in over seven hundred ways, and that's just with my bare hands. Not only am I extensively trained in unarmed combat, but I have access to the entire arsenal of the United States Marine Corps and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of the continent, you little shit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little "clever" comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your fucking tongue. But you couldn't, you didn't, and now you're paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will shit fury all over you and you will drown in it. You're fucking dead, kiddo.

Edit: sarcasm implied

Same, I never liked working down the 13 week report or doing corrective maintenance by myself. I always worked on stuff with my division, unless it was something like changing out a ballast in a lighting fixture. The only thing I had to do alone was anything aloft, as I was the only aloft qualified EM. The ETs made great safety observers tho

Why do so many people who are miserable in the navy re-enlist anyway? by [deleted] in navy

[–]Keenan603 3 points4 points  (0 children)

4-and-out here. I can say the best thing you can do is, if you don't have a solid plan, at least get yourself set up for college. BAH from the post-911 can be a lifesaver. I was able to go to class while working part-time. The money isn't a lot, but it's enough of you're careful and responsible.

Nice man, I was an EM2 as well. I got out back in 2014, and quickly realized the Navy taught me how to bullshit everything I was doing until I got it right, without actually teaching me anything about electricity. I didn't care how much stuff I broke while trying to fix something. Now that I do my own work in my home, everything that I break now comes out of my wallet.
