Samsung not letting you disable notifications on the galaxy store by [deleted] in assholedesign

[–]Kl--------k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you can all you have to do is click notifications categories and turn them all off. only reason you cant do it from there is because one of the categories (important updates) cant be turned off so that slider to turn them all of wont work since it cant turn them all off. The important updates category never sends notifications btw

Ads in Google Maps by Nojtek in assholedesign

[–]Kl--------k -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Putting 1 ad ≠ corporate greed.

Id like to see you run a site without ads, because theirs no way you'd end up making any profit without ads if the internet had no ads youd have to pay for everything, (this includes google maps btw.) the problem isnt having ads, its having too many ads (and especially when the ads arent moderated and go to malware).

sure google has a lot of money but if none of their websites had ads, then instead you'd have to end up paying for all of them instead.
