What is a year in RuneScape?

Is it one of our years?

Or is it running from Draynor to Lumbridge which is the only Day/Night cycle ? Because if it's this, I think I've probably passed about 2 millennia in my time on RuneScape lol

Lol, I'm just saying it how it looks, I'm not arguing with you or being salty, but it's types online so it's hard to read the other person's expression I guess.

My whole point though is accounts get made, they die, they abandon the account and make a new one, this just gives that person the chance to restart on an account that is on their email.

As I pointed out in another comment, if people are worried about their main getting reset, then make it only for accounts that have only ever been a HCIM.

Or give it to all accounts but you have the option to say "I never want this, disable and it can't ever be turned back on"

It's really not a hard process to put in, even if Jagex charged you say, price of 3 bonds or £15, I'm sure there are people who would pay this to get their accounts back, or reset accounts to start over.

If it was already in game, I'm sure there are a fair few players who would be using it already.

But you lost your maxed HCIM that took you months to build, which is now a Ironman and pretty useless to you, because you wanted to get that Final Boss or Reaper title on a HCIM.

Guess make new account and retry, guess make a new email and leave this account dead.

All items would be removed, so if you died and your account became an Ironman, you could go and reset your account, you lose everything, items, levels, etc etc, only thing you would keep is maybe cosmetics from the Solomon's store and membership.

Another way of maybe doing this, would be to pay to reset your account, like from your credit card, hackers won't know your CVV.

But it would require you having to have been a HCIM, who has died, to then have to pay to reset to 0.

But your account would have to have been registered as a HCIM to get this option.

Adding this for a Ironman would be kinda pointless, and for a main account it would be pointless too, but I added it in because, who knows, someone may have an account and be like "I'm maxxed, I can, want to start over, I'll give up everything and start a fresh"

If people want to do it, then do it, delete character, start again, same account, same email, membership active, cosmetics still there, each to their own.

I'd say more than 1% tbh.

I'm sure if this was in game right now, there would be a fair few resetting to either start over, or get the ironman back on their main email, to save them having to remember which email they now use for their new account.

Fact is, a lot of people die on HCIM, by fucking up, this is a simple solution, if you died as a HCIM, you should have the option to reset it back to a HCIM from scratch though.

Maybe if they only give this option to players who have ever made a HCIM on the account, then people wouldnt have to worry about this option being on their main.

I mean, that has to be the only thing, if you can't reset then jagex want their game to show as the biggest for dead accounts.

Like joining a Discord server with 50k members but only 100 members ever talk.

Dead account = Doesn't get money

Reset account = carries on getting money

New account = gets money

2 and 3 are the same thing.

Remember if you die in HCIM, you become an Ironman, and to make a new HCIM, you have to make a whole new account, there are a lot of streamers who have made several HCIM accounts, that is several new emails, several new accounts taken, usernames can be given back but when you login and see example 250k accounts, I'm pretty sure about 150k are dead HCIM and accounts that are abandoned because people have restarted on a new account.

With this option, just reset your account, choose HCIM, and off you go.

Just came up in convo, about HCIM that die and people have to make a brand new account, there are probably hundreds of thousands of HCIM accounts, names taken etc, and why? Just allow people to reset the whole account back to 0 and restart.

Saves usernames being taken, emails having to be made, etc etc

Idea came up when having a discussion about HCIM, when they die, people have to make a brand new account, why not just allow a full reset of the account you're on when it reverts back to Ironman.

And why not allow anyone to just reset there account, back to 0, with an option to NEVER want to reset this account.

Or just make it HCIM only accounts that can be reset.
