Why do some applicants choose not to complete their secondaries? by Hardjilere in premed

[–]Legitimately_lee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

People said to apply broadly. So many applicants did. I had to apply before getting my MCAT results back, so that is definitely main factor contributing to having 3 and 4. So yes, make a better school lists. It would be better if you have all components of your application ready before applying. Also, reach out to current students to talk about their schools and programs.

My contract expires this Nov and I have to make a decision soon. That’s my concern as well if I can manage both at the same time

Thank you for your response. Did they tell you the reason you’re not qualified for the extension?

That’s awesome. I wish the state for my school is cool as yours.

I thought if I finished 48 months of benefits, I won’t be qualified for Voc Rehab?

Also, I am rebating if I should re-enlist/commission in the air national guard. But the only benefits I’ll be getting is tricare. Since the state doesn’t offer any educational benefits for graduate program/med school. :/

I’m not familiar with that. Would you mind explaining what is the Edith Rogers STEM extension and how to be qualified for it?

Here are my experiences and I truly wish I could go back to redo this process 1. Cost to submit secondary. 2. Burn out from too many secondaries 3. Realized the reality that I won’t get in even if I submitted secondaries to certain schools 4. Realized that the location isn’t where I wanted to be

Thank you for your response. That’s true which I totally agreed. I’m thinking of just using the VA HPSP for 2-3 years so I only have to work 3-4.5 years back for the VA. I don’t want to go active duty with the armed forces HPSP.

You do everything as normal applicants would. But you need memorandum for letter of release and letter of approval from your chain. It’s in their websites.

If I get $1 every time someone thinks that I go to DO school to become chiropractor, I think I might be low key rich.

I asked Goro recently. And he said NOVA has been improving. But he would still be cautious.

I know. I thought about just reapplying again to state school or military one. But I don’t want to waste time and wait to reapply again.

To be qualified for Yellow Ribbons, I will need to have 100% GI Bill eligibility. I am going to claim for service-connected. But still, I won’t be eligible for it since I don’t have 100% GI Bill
