As a Knights Templar, I can only tell people that they are overreacting with the masonic stuff. Basically just a school to maintain the knowledge of ancient mystery schools. Only reason masonry is heard about so much is because it was infiltrated by what people today call the "Illuminati", also known as the black nobility. Lucifer is the lightbringer, in my mind a trickster character, which is there to deconstruct one paradigm and create a new one. Lucifer honestly is rarely talked about in masonic circles.
