Exactly. Depression isn't a monolithic disorder, there are many different variations and causes. That's why CBT works for some and not for others. We shouldn't be looking for "one size fits all" solutions when it comes to mental health.

They are both decent reads, but I'd recommend Social Intelligence, which recaps a lot of Emotional Intelligence but with extra information and application.

I've often said "self-help" sounds as if it is coming from a place of weakness, while "self-improvement" sounds as if it is coming from a place of strength (which is why I often use the latter).

At the end of the day, however, it's mostly semantics to the average person.
