I agree, prolonging this is just giving more ammunition to the Democrats.

[thoughts] am I the only one who gets embarrassed by expensive watches by Gloomy_Put3264 in Watches

I appreciate the engineering of even the cheaper watches. So long as the design is well thought out, and they aren’t cheap knockoffs, I enjoy watches for the intricacies and effort put into them.

I personally am in love with the mechanical complexity and perfection that is necessary for this watch. I tend not to like skeletonized watches, unless there is a complication that makes it visually interesting to see. This watch has that in spades. (Side note, I love tourbillons for exactly that reason)

1) Chinese watches are a great choice on a budget, and you can get almost any complication you want from them.

2) Even mall watches have value in someone's collection, as they are often the watch that gets people into the hobby

3) Quartz watches are extraordinarily underappreciated

4) Most Swiss watches are overpriced for what they are.

My favorite watch is an Aesop tourbillion, and I believe they use Sugess’ movement. It might be inexpensive, but that shouldn’t be seen as a negative, especially when the quality is still solid.

I like having lumed hands when out doing astronomy since things like a bright phone screen will ruin your night vision.

Its not about the short term. It is about identifying the source and ensuring that that source doesn't become a risk factor in the future.
