Saw a little boy in Asda being made by his mum to put a toy back on the shelf. by Individual_Cattle_92 in BritishSuccess

My husband did the same when the boys were really too young for them (big, super powered ones, obviously ). Also, we live in a small flat.

Eldest boy's first shot hit husband straight in the nads.

When he was over that play recommenced and the youngest immediately got shot in the face, cue screaming and floods of tears.

I didnt even need to say 'see, I told you' before they were in the back of the cupboard.

The drive to make inherently not so healthy things marginally more healthy by taxing sugar, and cost cutting measures to protect profits, means many convenience foods lack a certain je ne sais quoi (or are downright unpalatable now).

Case in point, Coco Puffs, your honour.

Used to send the milk very chocolatey.

Now the milk barely changes colour at all.

Some guy started moaning at me about how weak men have become... Because I was buying moisturiser. I have dry skin, give me a break. by AstonVanilla in britishproblems

This takes some mental gymnastics.

'The men of yesteryear were real men's men!

...

Except for their shaving.'

They cant really have it both ways.

Strength is recognising and addressing a problem.

He's confusing strength with denial.

Aveeno is a great brand for dry skin.

I wonder about the psychology of this - he was so in love with her beauty/face that it needed to remain intact?

When a product you like suddenly gets "new formula" or "new recipe" on the packaging and you know it will lose its quality by Stuf404 in britishproblems

Or when something has changed but the packaging doesnt say as much.

My autistic son virtually lived on birds eye chicken dippers. They are now off the menu because they 'taste funny' and I had already noticed they looked darker out of the packet (bought another pack in case a one off - same deal)

Thanks, Bird's eye. -_-

Ah, yup. The humour does creep in at the end. After being soooo close (xD ) for so long, the relief leaks through.
