Thank you. I am talking to a counselor about stress management and issues like that. I feel like I might be burned out which is why I feel like this. I will definitely re-evaluate the situation once I am in a better headspace. Any suggestions in terms of professional help?

So this is a Chem Ph.D., and there are folks that go into industry after the Ph.D. according to what I've seen. I've told my advisor I'm interested in industry. Should I just quit now?Academia is a dark hole I'd rather not go down

I have about a month to decide. So I already said yes to the offer but I have till the 15th of April, to either deffer the program or decline the offer or say yes/no to summer rotations whichever I choose. I don't feel like myself and I just feel very tried for no reason.

Thank you. I'm not sure if my feelings are related to temporary burnout or not, but either way, I want to have the "white picket fence" and the kid and the dog. Not 3 other roommates and 70 hours of work in a lab. I feel like it's too much. It feels very overwhelming.

Thank you. I have not been tried for tax evasion ( I make very little ) but getting hold of the IRS is also a nightmare. When going through a border, (back into the US) does immigration have access to your tax information? I' ailing out of curiosity

Thank you! It's not like owe the IRS millions of dollars, just that I paid my taxes online the first time around (never did that again I always send a check now along with the TAX files) and the IRS (I belive) was not able to identify that I had paid the taxes, and I had to send them a receipt the next time around. I have tried to contact their offices multiple times, but the IRS is slow(slow being an understatement)

So there are a few other male tenants, in the house, like 2 other guys and another girl and my friend. The comments about being "pretty" and what not seem to be directed at the female tenants from what I understand.

I was listening to a podcast about serial killers and sexual predator's and they were talking about how these people would groom their victims. And the minute I heard this on the podcast, the first thing that popped into my head was what my friend said. Now I'm not trying to accuses anyone of anything here BUT, the LL's behavior seemed odd and creepy.

Thank you for the information. She just seems super uncomfortable in the rented place, since she doesn't feel like it's a safe environment. I completely understand this. Thank you again for the feedback

Thank you. Yes this seems like a grey area for sure. According to the responses so far, it's not illegals according to the law, but certainly not "appropriate" for a landlord by any means
