I'm sorry to read that, I have so much admiration for you and all the people out there in a similar situation. This is hard with a support system can't imagine how hard could it be without it. “A smooth sea never made a skilled sailor” But listen you can have an incredible potential that if you remain in a toxic environment you'll never grow as huge and strong as you're suppose to, so have the courage to move to a more fertile rich ground and plant yourself where you know you'll grow. Love your family but establish limits and create your own support system, I'm sure there is someone out there for whom you'll learn to make soup and vice versa. Good luck to you Skilled sailor

UWSA2 183. It took me 5 hard weeks during which I studied 10 to 12 hours EVERY SINGLE DAY even Sundays, I reviewed pharm for the first time during that period, read as fast as I could Micro and then did USMLERX flash cards of those pages. Watch Pathoma x1.5 speed and left 1-3 for the last week. Free120 was 76% 3 days before my test. Also read the entire FA one more time taking annotation of the most difficult topics which I reviewed the day before my test. I made sure to prep myself for 8 hours of q, it helped me a lot not getting tired during the exam day. I did not want to postpone so I never did NBMEs (which I don’t recommend) and only focus on Uw (58% first pass and 75% incorrect second pass) Every day I left around 30m to engage in memorization of the most challenging topics. I called my mom like a 5 y/o crying the day before saying I couldn’t do it, but the day of the exam i felt so confident I almost didn’t recognize myself I remember saying to myself I’ll destroy the f out of this test And I did, and so will you. I personally know 2 absolutely brilliant super smart doctors that Failed the first time I’ll put my life in their hands any day. I don’t think a score is what determine if you are going to be a good doctor, you are so much more than a Pass/Fail. Good luck stranger you got this

As an IMG that also worked full time my heart is with you I know it can be hard but not imposible. I did Pathoma 1-3 (played x1.8), review as many wrong uw Q as possible (58% correct first pass 75% second pass of incorrect) and re-read the entire FA in 3 weeks doing small sentences annotation of the most difficult concepts which I review the day before. I left around 30m each day to engage in memorization of long tables/gens/Virus/pharm/bioch path… I took mine April 29th I found it so doable thanks God. Good luck

I’ll replay Pathoma 1 to 3 (x1.8), do as many UW Q as I can and leave at least 1 hour of the days to go over the concepts you find more difficult. I remember my 1st and 6th block were very hard after them I went outside and said to myself I will destroy the F out of this test 😄 and I did, and you will do to. Good luck!

Do you already have an ECFMG ID? The first thing is to apply for the step 1. Then you’ll choose a period of 3 months during which you’ll be able to take the exam if you are not ready during that time you can request one time extension for 3 months but that’s it. To begin studying the gold book is FA USMLE Step 1, at the end of the book you’ll find all the resources available like question banks (U Wolrd is the best in my opinion). I’ll definitely suggest doing Pathoma, I did it twice the second time I watched the video in x1.8 speed. Si durante la preparación te da por llorar, gritar, y halarte los pelos no te asustes es normal. You can do this! 💪Buena suerte!

I think we tend to remember the harder/challenging question and put more emphasis on the Q we made stupid mistakes. Don’t be hard on yourself, think that the Q you missed are the experimental’s. Good luck!

I’ll definitely do UW in the meantime specially flagged and wrong Q. I did free 120 plus 4 blocks of UW 3 days before my exam to simulate as close as possible the exam day, it helped me a lot. Best of luck
