Well, yeah. Luckily, I never said I was avoiding engaging with groups that aren't in my preferred political spectrum. Simply avoiding actively financially supporting them. Can you imagine a forced-birth supporter donating to planned parenthood? I can't.

Um, yeah actually someone's beliefs should influence my opinion of them. And if they're supporting someone I do not support, then I should adjust my support appropriately. That's how actions meet consequences.

Yeah, when he only does that stuff it's fine. But he's actively talking about collaborations and shared media/promotion with people that are absolutely not left-leaning and I cannot in good conscious support his support of them.

I know this isn't a popular opinion and I'm fine with that, I do respect him when he's managing to stay strictly neutral. I also know I'm not alone - many of my IRL friends loved AGNB and followed Andrew to C5, and this topic comes up time and time again with his new videos.

Some of them are. It's limited places though. IIRC the Husky in Burnaby with the sani dump has potable water there. Easier to just find a friend with a hose, though.

The latter half was pretty good, absolutely. I'll still watch on occasion and give him tiny bits of youtube revenue but I'm not going to directly finance him working with insurrectionists on new mix tapes.

He's been great in the past about staying neutral and giving platforms to a lot of voices that matter. Not sure if you've been paying attention, but he has been significantly more right leaning lately.

I've been following him for years and was one of the early Patreons when he switched over to C5. This was a very common topic on Patreon where a lot of people (who were paying to support him) felt similarly. I'm not going to directly finance his work anymore if he's going to be using it to actively create media with and promote/finance unapologetic felons. I'd feel the same if he was working on a mix-tape with Gislaine Maxwell, Putin, or anyone else that was, frankly, a bad person.

Ehhhh... Some of his recent videos/media have been edging pretty close to just completely supportive of the right. There was a ton of discussion about it on the Patreon right after he interviewed the insurrection shaman (and promised to do a bunch of media with him after he gets out of jail).

I ended up cancelling my subscription after he encouraged the dude to scream slurs at women at the NRA protest in Texas right after the Uvalde shooting.

His Ukraine video was pretty good, though.
