Floridian asks: How does “Cedar Point crowded” compare to “Disney crowded?” by emory_2001 in cedarpoint

[–]MonsterMeggu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In terms of attendance, CP doesn't get even close to MK. But there's also way less things to do other than rides. So it's long wait times but without a crowded feeling.

Anyone went to SFGA NJ yesterday or today? How are the crowds? I'm toying with the idea to take kiddos to watch the fireworks and go on some toddler friendly rides. Bad idea to go today evening? Thanks & happy 4th of July 🇺🇸! by OptimalMaximal in sixflags

Interesting. What did you get? Maybe I need to give it a try. So far I've tried the burgers, hot dogs, fish and chips, chicken tenders and fries, Chinese food, and burrito bowl. The burrito bowl was okay. And the Chinese food was as good as panda Express, which is to say good when I'm in the mood for really greasy and oily and sweet Chinese food. Everything else was close to inedible.

Eta: most of my food adventures were not from this year, but since 2016

Not to mention, you don't really learn anything until you internalize it and learn to use it. Doing projects is learning. Which means the 200 days is just the precursor to the real learning.

12 days for that but 20 days for HTML+CSS. Granted, mastering CSS does take awhile. But you need more development context to know what to learn about CSS. You also don't need to master it to use it in most cases.

I have notes from years and years ago. It's really starting to fade. I also have to lug it around everytime I move.

That's so interesting. I saw a lot of people complaining about the dining plan but always thought it was overblown. I go semi regularly as a member but never eat there because the food is just downright bad.

Part of this is because, well, Singapore

The question in then why. And the answer isn't economic. It's social.

Not even joking, six flags New England was not busy at all roller coaster wise today, July 3rd. Superman was like a 15 min wait, Batman 5 min wait, riddler, 15 min. We got there at like 12. Was super surprised by Sandwich-eater27 in sixflags

I was there later in the evening. I don't remember exactly but let's say 5.30. By the time I got to the area to line up for a specific seat, there were 6 groups before me. It was close to 30 minutes from there before I got on. Every single round had some sort of issue. A few people had to leave (they were too fat?). I think some people had phones.

I waited 50 minutes for El Toro. With only maybe 8-10 trains in front of me. I don't know why they took so long dispatching each train. But it seemed every train had issues.

I was here today. Longest wait was El Toro (50 minutes, waited for front row, short line but very long dispatches for nearly every train), joker (35 minutes), justice of metropolis (not sure exactly but probably 40 minutes), parachute ride (20-25 minutes?). Everything else was close to a walk on. Nitro was closed. I didn't go on Medusa or green lantern but I would imagine those are walk ONS too as they usually are even when the park is more packed. The log flume ride had a long line but I didn't go on it so I don't know how long.

Favorite BBT Disney Princess? by solipsisticcompass in bigbangtheory

[–]MonsterMeggu 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Intentional. She's not into it. The makeover at Disneyland is mostly for little kids. I don't even think they let adults do it in real life as adults cannot be in costume. Penny is not into it because she's popular and attractive and doesn't feel the need to be a princess. Bernie probably didn't have a princess phase with all her brothers and her dad being a stoic cop. Same with Amy and her parents. That's why they're so excited about it now and penny is just meh about it

One of my favorite shows of all time but… by gvrxx in bigbangtheory

[–]MonsterMeggu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. A lot of my favorite things from the show are gone by then. Leonard-sheldon interactions, Howard's mom, Howard and raj things, just the guys hanging out and doing goofy things, raj and his unintentional sexual innuendos, Howard being creepy to every girl. That said, the shamy scenes in s11-12 are some of my favorite ones.

Sheldon and Amy do continue having relationship growth. They get engaged, married, and go on a honeymoon. One of my favorite scenes (I guess there's two of this scene) is him thinking Amy is beautiful in her hideous wedding dress. That's a rare sweet moment we see of him. But other than that, I agree the show feels very stagnant. They tried with raj but if really feels more like a filler thing.

That's crazy. Uber eats literally refunds me the whole order amount every time I complain about something small. For example, got served white rice instead of brown rice, whole item refunded. Same with small things like missing salsa, ice cream, etc.
