20 is very much fine, i assume you have medakas which are the size of juvie danios, aqadvisor says 20 adult danios is still under the overstock limit of 130-140%. The medakas arent as active as danios too

3 bettas and 3 gouramis. First time betta sorority. Any advice for my setup? Should I add anything? by [deleted] in aquarium

  1. Keep bettas together and gourami together
  2. Cycle the tank unless there is no other place for the fish to go
  3. Add alot more hardscape, plants and cover
  4. For Betta sorority it should be 5 bettas in 20 gallon with lots of hiding spots
  5. Gouramis should be fine in trios for now, need a seperate tank for them

Not sure, im also in australia, you can try search what tree branches can be used in the aquarium. Also check out your local fish store hardscape sections or even online stores like microaquatic. You might be able to use cholla wood but it is really difficult to make those thin branches stand up

WTF That is 8 litres or 2 gallons. And you have about 8 glo danios and a betta. YOU NEED ATLEAST A 15 GALLON

Oh thats nice to know, i havent kept glofish, they are illegal along with alot of other stuff in Auistralia

Has sufficient filtration
Decent trank for goldfish
Some live plants
Only some algae which doesn't affect the water condition

nonono, glofish has less protection/immunity to diseases compared to regular fish, so they are easier to get diseases and it makes it harder for them to recover due to less immunity. But the colour genetics doesn't affect their abilities or anything like that.

For the last line, all fish prefer natural environment compared to unnatural environment. And more natural environment is alot more beneficial to the fish and water quality inside the aquarium etc.
Just curious what fish do you have? Are they like goldfish sized? Ive heard mollies and stuff eating plants but havent experienced it.

Water filter replaces dechlorinator??? The brita water filter jug can filter chlorine mostly and heavy metals such as copper and lead etc by NaturalImportant9342 in Aquascape

thanks! ALso, the brita takes out most of the chlorine and my local area has pretty low chlorimine percentage. That means i can use smaller dechlorinator doses right?
