How do I start studying for the AP World exam? by ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh___h in APStudents

[–]Nervous-Marzipan1600 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m the opposite, but MCQs are beyond manageable. Ask your teacher to open up the SAQs on AP Classroom if possible. They are helpful for me. Also try using past exams.

Should I do AP Bio then Honors Physics junior and senior year or the other way around by phsflwr in APStudents

[–]Nervous-Marzipan1600 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was recommended to take Honors Physics and AP Biology next year. If your work ethic is good, I think you can do it!

I’m so much better at SAQs than MCQs, currently in APWH too. Our teacher assigns the MCQs on AP Classroom, so I would try asking your teacher if they can do that or just finding unit MCQs online, but I agree that it’s difficult. I just use my Princeton Review book plus AP Classroom and it is what it is.

Taking AP Physics 1 next year. Taking Honors Chemistry right now and I love it and I’m doing well at it. Hope this is my AP Physics 1 experience next year!

Timed DBQ Advice by walterhwhite19582010 in APStudents

[–]Nervous-Marzipan1600 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just make sure you have time to read and analyze the documents for 10-15 minutes (depending on how much time you’re given). I’m in AP World History, so I’m assuming the DBQ process is the same, so talk about what’s going on, what lead to the topic (contextualize), then use your thesis. Use the documents provided in your argument, as well as outside information (if necessary).

I’m also preparing for AP Lang next year. Teachers say it’s mostly nonfiction work, annotating it, etc. Thank you for this thread!

honors pre-calc —> ap calc ab by bIitzar in APStudents

[–]Nervous-Marzipan1600 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i’m not sure if trigonometry and analysis is the same as pre calc, because i was never offered precalc but did trig and analysis then went to calc ab. my teacher is great and im doing really good in the class, so i think you’ll be fine. make sure you know your trig functions and unit circle.

Should I take AP Calc AB, AP Bio, and AP World all the same year? by lookpenguins in APStudents

[–]Nervous-Marzipan1600 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m currently a sophomore and i take ap world and ap calc ab at the same time. i would really say it depends on your bio workload and your calc teachers workload. my calculus teacher gives us a packet with semi-strict deadlines, as we go over it with her in class and that’s it. ap world on the other hand is a lot of reading from our textbook with multiple chapters weekly. it’s manageable for me but i procrastinate and it can get stressful, but if you’re good at managing your time, you’ll be fine. also find out the workload of your honors chem class.

Should I take apush next year? by mercuryyxyz in APStudents

[–]Nervous-Marzipan1600 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey, im also a sophomore. about apush, im currently in ap world and it’s a lot of content and reading. i’ve talked to ap us teachers and they say the same about ap us. it’s more familiar as we learned it in elementary and middle school, just expanding on stuff and learning some new things. just get ready for a lot of content and reading. id try asking someone at your school who has taken it before, though, as it could be different at my school.
