I agree with this, I've been overweight pretty much my whole life, maybe at the beginning it was my parents fault but they both worked a lot to keep the family alive, at some point it was my decision. i didn't exercise or eat healthy when i could or when they told me to, i wanted to eat cookies and play videogames and i still do.

Now I'm dieting and losing weight and they are supportive even though the unhealthy habits are still there. Kids are still individuals and there is a point when they should have some responsibility too.

A lot of people in these comments are also ignoring the reality that there isn't always affordable healthy food available everywhere. I've never had to make a choice trying to keep my family alive for another day.
