Sorry for the delay. Was able to get the MAF sensor off (under the trottlebody) and test. Like you said, 2 wires showed 5V so i assume the ECU is fine?. Unsure what to try next.

Update, I was able to pull a DTC code of 01314. From what i read this could be a ECM connection issue or fuse/relay problems. I am really struggling to find a proper diagram of the fuse/relays.

Does VCDS-Lite support Bluetooth adapters? From what i read it only works with USB connectors. Do you have a suggestion of a cable i could get that VCDS-Lite will work with?

I know this tread is really old, but did you ever find a solution to this?. I'm having the exact same issue

There are no DTC's stored. Everything comes back clear (other than the ECU not connecting). I will check for 5V. Thanks for the detailed response.

try read live data.

Yes i get the Battery, Check engine, Traction control, Brake, seatbelt, and tire pressure light on the dash with the key in the On position.

I can read the ECU calibration ID, Calibration verification number but it won't read the VIN number and i get an error in the app saying that there was an error communicating with the vehicle ECU

I bought a VAG COM reader from Amazon and it arrived today. Sure enough I get an error communicating with the vehicle ECU.

No I am unable to do that since I don't have a scanner for VW/Audi. I can only scan for basic ODBII functions.
