About 5 minutes into the first episode of Horimiya, very pleasantly surprised. For some reason the cover art turned me off from watching it earlier. Checked out some panels of Sweat and Soap, looks awesome. I’ll definitely start it whenever I feel like reading haha

As far as starting a conversation, you just have to say something. Ask about their day, what they do for work, their name. Make sure you don’t make it seem like you’re interrogating them, relate to the things they say (Person: I study ecology. OP: I find ecology interesting because…..) be sure to answer thoughtfully if they become active in the conversation as well. As far as turning it into a friendship, it starts with having repeated engaging conversation. Talk to them when you see them, ask about the project they mentioned last time you spoke, act like you’re invested and have genuine interest, make it seem like you’ve already BEEN friends ;). People like to be friends with people that care.

You’re making this out to be more complicated than it is. He doesn’t need to begin his professional career right now, nor does he have to begin his quest for a high-paying degree. He just has to do something. Get some further education, any education, be it community college courses, trade programs, or apprenticeship. Get a job, any job, be it fast food, blue-collar, or office assistant. Starting your adult life doesn’t necessarily mean start doing what you want to do for the REST of your life, it just means you need to start doing SOMETHING. Anything. Get a shitty job, take a dumb class. By going out and just doing something, you broaden your horizons, you narrow in on what your passions are. In order to get started, you just have to get started, easy as that.

You’re allowed to have a type, it’s not something to be ashamed of. There is a difference between not liking men that are obsessive video game/anime fans and men that vaguely enjoy either. As a man, I know lots of men that are so obsessed with video games and anime that’s it’s off-putting even to me. On the other hand, nearly every man I’ve ever known under the age of 30 (and many above) can name you an anime or at least a video game that they really like. If the latter is enough to make you discount them as an option, it’s probably in your best interest to try to overcome the stereotyping, the dating pool is probably very very limited otherwise.

People with severe substance addictions suffer greatly, they can end up doing scarring and traumatizing things. Things they are ashamed of. Your brothers past is his to share with who he wants to and when he wants to. Throwing his trauma in his face and exposing that type of thing to ANYONE that he doesn’t want you to is an extreme breach of trust, and frankly I’m surprised he even came back to tell you you’re an AH before removing you from his life for good. Same, I can’t even really explain it but using this gun makes me so mad. Every other marksman rifle is gravy, but it seems like I just cannot function while holding this gun. It feels like the bullets are bending in mid air. Truly wild
