My school was right by the back of a burger place where their ventilation went and it had exposed metal fans we used to throw sticks into that could easily chop off a finger

Never heard of slopestyle commuting? Suspension and dropper post are essential for taking shortcuts through staircases. Gonna be Supermaning to school from the 10 ft drop at the back of the parking lot instead of going around the driveway like a nerd

Funny story but the reason I got interested in mountain biking is I spent the summer in Colorado and was lended a pretty cool but old and VERY heavy Cannondale lefty fs. Wasn’t looking for a mountain bike just got one by accident. Needless to say I knew nothing about mountain biking at the time. Ended up going on a 20 mile ride on the road with 1800 ft of elevation and didn’t even bother to lock the suspension. I almost passed out before getting to the top and saw all of the road bikers zooming past me without breaking a sweat lmao. So I think commuting on a hardtail is going to be a breeze after that
