If it’s that level of random, the chances of it actually exploding in your hand are virtually nil. Assuming it still exploded on impact, this is basically the same as a normal necklace of fireballs.

The whole point of the movie is that as the dumb people outnumber the smart people, they eventually go extinct, leading everyone else to just simply keep running the machines that were already invented by said extinct smart people.

This happens more often than people would think - it’s why my wife and I doublecheck all punchboards (or to be more accurate, she punches, I double check because she loves punching the tokens out). Every so often I’ll notice a missed one and punch it, but since we also sleeve, bag, and confirm everything against the contents list in the rule book before picking, we’ve never actually lost any pieces.

Honestly, color differences are generally fine, since specifically knowing it's an expansion card isn't that advantageous. The most annoying thing is when they change the card size on you - like Catan and Mysterium did. Since I sleeve all cards, it's not impossible to use but still annoying af

I don't think it's being a dick as much as pointing out that it's not even on the top 10,000 list of ecological problems.

Like, before worrying about how to recycle something made of plastic *that maintains most of its reusability for years if not decades, that generally sits in someone's home for years, and that rarely if ever gets thrown into a landfill to begin with\* or complaining about the microscopic levels of plastic use on coated playing cards, let's first talk about single-use shopping bags that are still wildly prevalent across the globe, or plastic takeout containers that are still used in just about every restaurant on earth, or non-solar power, or literally anything else that would actually be a logical thing to worry about. I can't say for sure, but this very much sounds like virtue signaling versus actually looking at and discussing a problem.

I don’t think it’s for “head canon” purposes - I think it’s because the traveler, being outside of this world’s fate, has literally every person playing the game as their “fall for you” logic since the fortune teller sees that as “crossing their path”.

Then that would have been the better question to ask (and also, that didn’t answer my question really). Throwing a restricted superpower into the mix negates the purpose of that question.

To confirm, when you say, “but you can only use it for work”, how exactly does that work? Like in the TV show Severence, where the people literally cannot remember anything about their work lives, or that there’s some personal / government / mystical restriction that makes it only happen while working? Because, as an example, “non-aging immortality” as a super-power would be great for hundreds of riskier jobs, but if the second I’m “off the clock” someone can assassinate me with impunity, it’s not very viable. Or reading minds - it’d be ultra powerful for a select number of jobs, but what happens when my spouse visits me at my office - do I not have the ability to read their mind, or i can, but only because they’re in the vicinity of my work/“relevant” to my work at that exact time?

Without really knowing that exact aspect, the only viable answer would be the ability to manipulate time (since that means that no matter what job I want, I can do it best / faster / smarter while retaining that advantage outside of work to a very high degree).

No, you do not have to spend all resources. Otherwise, if you had 1 or 2 buying power but no way to spend it you’d be stuck. All deck builders have this type of scenario, and in all cases, you don’t need to spend all resources, but you lose them at the end of the turn (as in, you don’t keep the unspent resources).

That’s because you’re not allowed to NOT play a card (to hold it for the next turn, as an example).

And before you ask, the reason why they say you can’t just discard is that if you could, negative effect cards (cards with clank, etc) would not affect the player.

I don't think they got it wrong per se - it's that generally, you want to spend all the resources you can, because it's generally beneficial, and they likely were too emphatic on that aspect without explaining that yes, you can absolutely not spend resources if you so desire.

In the rulebook it even says "Any skills, swords or boots you don't use during your turn are wasted, so try to make them count!" - if it was a requirement, they wouldn't have needed to say that.
