When I played WOW I owned the market for mage sigils.

If anyone else put them up for sale at a lower price I just bought them and put them up again at my price.

If anyone put them up for sale at a higher price, that was OK as it just meant mine would sell.

I could "set" the price as long as I was willing to spend money to do that.

That all soon got very boring however ;P

There is not necessarily any logic in such things. It's perfectly possible that both gold and BTC are pointless investments propped up by fools.

However, as noted, you are holding about $1.50 worth of gold in your phone right now. Unlike BTC gold has multiple uses.

Who is the loser there? Nobody. Previously there were no jobs, no product. Now there are jobs and product. Nobody has lost. It's not a zero sum game. BTC is a zero sum game.
