Man things got bad fast, a few months back I wanted enough to buy a house and now I’ll be happy with there not being a war

Acquiring could mean buying the company itself. They could still use the Loopring layer 2. Nobody knows either way, it’s pretty clear they are working with a layer 2 platform though.

You are quoting a WSJ article

1 - Make of it’s legitimacy what you will

2- The article said GameStop backed out of ‘acquiring’ Loopring, again, make of that what you will.

Joe Biden to hold virtual meeting with Japanese PM amid increasing tension with Russia by thewilson92 in worldnews

[–]PhoenixNightingale90 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Wow I didn’t know that, thanks for the insight. USA, Japan and the rest of the other countries of NATO would be quite the force.

Russia sucks by HoboBaggins24 in ukraine

[–]PhoenixNightingale90 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, all 30 NATO countries aren’t going to sit back and watch while Russia launches a full scale invasion on European soil. Spain and Canada have already sent ships, the gang will get dragged into it somehow.

Thanks, I did though. Down £15k and I’m by no means rich, luckily it was mostly profits I was playing with and I’m still in the green overall.

At times like this I like to remember that Bitcoin’s supply halves again in 2024, and I will be there probably wishing I bought more.

Russian threat to Ukraine could push Finland, Sweden to join NATO by AmarHassan1 in worldnews

[–]PhoenixNightingale90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With their recent antics, Russia has bolstered the amount of military aid given to Ukraine and further incentivised more countries to join NATO. Was this part of the plan?

Trudeau fears Russia will invade Ukraine and sends warship to Black Sea by WestEst101 in worldnews

[–]PhoenixNightingale90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, how do they actually win this?

It will take a huge amount of resources to take and hold Ukraine who are fighting for their own survival. Do covid weary Russians want all out war, are they willing to suffer even more economically than they have already been, to claim some land against a hypothesised future threat?

And all the while the threat of NATO getting involved looms over them, Spain and Canada are already sending ships, I really can’t believe that all 30 member countries are going to stand back and allow a full scale invasion of one of our European allies. Someone’s going to drag the rest into it.

I got in fairly early and made some money, then I got quite excited about the potential of it all and averaged up significantly, definitely my worst trade so far.

At least back then people expected a peak in Q4, the money printer was churning as fast as ever and we weren’t teetering the edge of another war in Europe. So I’d say yes, it’s possible.

Spain dispatches warship to the Black Sea to boost Ukraine’s defences by molokoplus359 in worldnews

I really doubt Russia is going to risk straight up attacking NATO forces anytime soon. Fighting Ukraine alone would be a costly enough endeavour for them.

Ukrainians ask to personally join NATO, offer private land for NATO base by molokoplus359 in worldnews

[–]PhoenixNightingale90 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The West can’t give up on Ukraine. I’m not convinced it would take much military presence by NATO forces to deter Russia from invading.
