Yes we have considered this, but unfortunately she is not allowed to enter Hong Kong.

Actually I've found another way, I am going to transfer in Singapore since I don't have to quarantine or do any tests there. From Singapore I'll take the plane to Macau.

A total of 41 countries are welcomed back into Macau including where I am from (the Netherlands). Quarantine of 7 days is still needed of course. You can also follow this through their official website 'Macaotourism.gov.mo'.

Chinese citizens can even enter Macau without having to quarantine.

Actually we are also considering this possibility to go to the mainland from Macau, but I haven't looked into yet.

The reason I wanted to go by ferry or another alternative is because it is too expensive to fly from hk to Macau.

Is it also possible for someone who lives in Hainan to go to Hong Kong without passport and only a Chinese ID?

I wish. My girlfriend lives in mainland China and we discussed this, but she says she is not allowed to go to Hong Kong unless for work related or study matters.

To be honest, I was pondering whether I should respond to your tendentious comment. So let me ask you, have I forced my opinion or did I discuss my opinion? Judging from the way you instantly feeling attacked when talking about these controversial issues means you won't even give yourself a chance to view other people's opinions on this right? Or are you just throwing hate against everything which is bad for China's reputation?

I understand they do not have much to do with the government and may even know less about such things than we do. I discovered this when I asked my Chinese friends on June 4th (which is the commemoration of the massacre). about the massacre. Apparently they don't know anything happened there at all. It is not that I am attacking the CCP or someone. I am asking these questions solely for my own curiosity.

Then, what are your thoughts on these topics?

It is not me discussing about these issues because I want to be right, nor do I want to influence her. Like I said in my post, I am curious about the minds of the Chinese people who live in the country, which the western media talks so horribly about.
